Popular Post Fifth of Daybreak
So I was watching the local highschool put on Cinderella for their spring musical the other day, and I was thinking about Sanderson instead of paying attention, when it clicked. Cinderella has to be a lightweaver. Cinderella's parents are both dead and she is being raised by her wicked step family. This could be what cause Cinderella to break and become eligible to bond with a spren. She's a very talented musician. In the Disney cartoon, she attracts all manner of creatures, but this is a just a translation problem. Cinderella didn't enchant woodland critters, but instead, her musical prowess is attracting all manner of spren. Lightweavers are supposed to be accomplished artists of some sort. This follows suit with that theory. Cinderella talks to her woodland friends. Or rather, Cinderella lies to convince herself that she's loved. Her illusions take the form of the animals she is most close with, and she even gives them voices and conversations. Either that, or her soulcasting has transformed the animals into a more human form. A lie that she can make friends with animals, so she made it become truth, similar to some of the transformations that take place in the deserters. Her powers manifest to herself only after her fairy godmother appears. Or should I say her cryptic. In the Disney version, the fairy godmother sings in all sorts of gibberish. Are these magic words, or is it instead the spren learning how to communicate in the physical realm? Soulcasting is obviously involved in getting Cinderella to the ball. She turns a pumpkin into a carriage, then she changes the animals into humans, after her powers have manifested she has become powerful enough to make her animal friends into real ones, albeit only for a short time. Either that, or she just uses light weaving to give the appearance of the coachmen. Her dress goes from raggedy, to beautiful, to raggedy again. Sound familiar? She uses lightweaving to augment her looks in order to go to the ball. Glass slippers. Seriously? Glass slippers? Who would be skilled enough to shape a shoe to match someone's foot exactly, using glass as a medium? This seems like it would be a HUGE stretch to accomplish. But, if you create the shoe out of something else and then soulcast the shoe into glass, that's another matter entirely. Finally, the reason she has to leave at midnight is because her stormlight will run out. Her cryptic was not yet adjusted enough to the physical realm to recognize why the ability was limited for time, but she did understand it was limited by something, and was able to pinpoint the exact moment when the stormlight would fade, and she's suddenly be wearing rags in front of the person she was presenting the lies to. Bam, Cinderella is a lightweaver. Edited March 25, 2014 by EMTrevor

Mistdork
Is this like how everyone in Les Mis can be seen as in someway a character in Mistborn or at least the futile rebellion thing in French history is just all a lie and the truth is...never mind. But yeah, OP all fairy tales are really the cosmere seeping in! It's good you finally realize this... Edited March 25, 2014 by Nymp
Observer
She's even hooking up with a Prince, go figure. Heck, the Fairy Godmother even wears robes, and she's just being perceived differently thanks to a broken mind. Seriously, this is brilliant, I love it.
Kobold King
I was skeptical, but this actually makes a lot of sense. I'm pretty sure Peter Pan was a Windrunner. This also makes far more sense than it should. Upvote.
Rybal
I'm pretty sure Peter Pan was a Windrunner. Tinkerbell is definitely an honorspren. I could go with this, especially since Syl always looked like Tinkerbell in my mind. Syl even tries to get Kaladin to think happy thoughts in order to fly.

Observer
Mary Poppins is almost definitely a Feruchemist and possibly a Forger as well. The flying with the umbrella, the infinite space, her creepy timeliness, it's the only way.

The flying with the umbrella, the infinite space, her creepy timeliness, it's the only way. I'm going to have to object to that one. She's obviously a Time Lord, no ifs ands or buts.

The flying with the umbrella, the infinite space, her creepy timeliness, it's the only way. She's probably Hoid's neice. The real question is, what Cosmerical signigicance does the family (can't remember their name) have?

The Banks? They were the Vanisher's first victims after they became cosmere-aware in the third Mistborn trilogy.
