Granite sat on his bed, fuming. He couldn't believe that Max had been training with Jay this entire time. How could his cousin trust that lying, no-good Narrator? He was... he was no better than his mother, Star. She'd been a Narrator too, hadn't she? And she'd left him. That was it then. Narrators were just... evil.

Jacob was busy measuring the exact dimensions of one of the columns. "No," he muttered, writing down the measurements and moving on to the next thing.

“Very well.” Jaywalk opened a portal and stepped into Max’s room. “Your cousin seems...a bit resistant.”

Max shrugged. “You lied to him.”

”I know.”

"So..." Rose said, looking about. "How are we going to go about making me a.... Narrator?"

SoT shrugged. "I have no idea."

Rose cocked her head, confused. "And... where is Granite? I haven't seen him since-"

"Star's darkness!" SoT cried. "I left him with Jay!" She put a flustered hand to her head. "WhatamIgonnado?!" She started pacing, until she realized that she cold just *snap*. A confuzzeled Granite appeared next to her. "Ah, ha!" she exclaimed. "There he is!"
