That’s really cool, actually - both I and Rebus will investigate further, eventually. 

“Conquest is what I plan to reforge it as - a crusade feels less directed, less permanent, and hence less useful for the purposes I want to work towards. I will need a few pieces more, but I suspect I can procure them.” 

He can read the Thread - literally anything here he can know about. 
If you want me to wait, I can - once the crossover begins in earnest, though, Rebus is definitely getting involved. 

“And that you are astounded means I have the upper hand - arrogance and confidence are similar, but not the same.” Rebus reached out with a gauntlet aflame with Chaotic Order, though he did not stop attempting to get rid of the air around them. 

Rebus looked a little sheepish. “You were in pain and I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t see any other option, and I planned to find you as soon as I could.” 
Rebus frowned, realizing he had still dealt quite an emotional blow. It wasn’t too important, though - brilliant as the man was, Rebus didn’t need him at this stage. He wandered around the room, investigating various half-built devices. 

Rebus went to the place the rebel gods were, planning to fight them. Hence, I need a description of it. 

A Narrator is a being of Chaotic Order - creativity and creation, unchecked and wild. They can do almost anything (including break the fourth wall) and can only be countered by beings or objects of similar power (there’s more lore, but that should be sufficient for this). But yes, Asharak, not being a Narrator, could exit the Thread without punishment.

Perhaps this won’t be much of a challenge. He’ll lead you to several things that must be defeated in particular ways. They are called Horrors, and they correspond to each of the domains of the enemies.

The man in front of you is the Horror of Betrayal. I doubt his betrayal will do any harm. After he leads you to all the Horrors, you’ll have to fight him.

As the man led them through the darkness, the stone beneath Rebus feet rose slightly, in an attempt to trip him. A faint giggle can be heard.

Rebus brought physics to a slightly more realistic level, and the antimatter beam blew up in an impressive explosion upon contact with the air. Although even Rebus would be grievously injured by an antimatter explosion, the armor, darkness emitted by the Chaotic Order reaction, and Rebus’s normal nanotechnology were enough to leave him alive. His armor glowed white hot in places as his flesh (if it could be called that) knit back together. 
Reconsidering slightly, if it was actually an anti-matter beam, Rebus instead used portals to redirect it at Eon and continue the destruction of the air.

As they round a bend, Rebus would be able to see a brooding, jet black fortress. In the distance, there seemed to be a swarm of ghost-like human skulls flying around it. He would be able to faintly hear their screams. They would soon arrive. But strange things kept happening. A root would reach up and try to snag his ankle. He would feel the need to sneeze, yet be unable toto. He’d hear the sounds of cringy ASMR. And each time it was accompanied by a childlike giggle. Then he feels a pulling on his hair, and can feel something near his head. If he turns fast enough, he’ll see a little sprite, holding a cooking pan directly in the way of his head’s motion, giggling to herself. Axzi chimes in.

Rebus, who could see in all directions via nanotech cameras tethered to his mind, saw the Horror quite quickly. Taking a guess, Rebus took his utility fog and altered the molecular composition of the cooking pan’s handle, making it slippery enough to be annoying, but not enough to be suspicious.

She shrugged and threw it at Rebus, before giggling and vanishing again. As they approached Derior, the swarm of phantoms approached. Rebus will feel all his darkest moments and worst memories. All his Despair.

That is the Horror of Misery. It will hurt, but it can only be defeated by pushing through the memories. It will be then be able to be damaged. They must all be destroyed before the memories will fade and it will be defeated.

And I’ll let you rp that, and how he gets through it.

She grinned. “With your help, of course.”

Another one of the useful things about that is it isn’t reliable to link your mind if your enemy likes to piggyback.

She brushed away the attack, then began taking over the Nanites. “See, it doesn’t break any rules if it isn’t direct. So long as I’m not directly controlling your Nanites with Parasite, it’s fine.”

Matters settled, Taeidin kneels on the ground. Taking some stones, he slides them around each other across the floor, mumbling to himself. After a minute, he frowns. 

"There are many documents that fit the criteria, but for some reason I feel..." He hesitates. "More disturbance? From a few than the others. I've not seen that before." 

Heir, there's something specific Rebus is looking for, right? Where is it right now?
