I know. you'd have no way of knowing this, but I've been here for a loooong time. I don't remember exactly when it was, but it was before page 2250. probably back as far as 2100, honestly.

When Rebus attempted to touch the Nullite to the shard, it simply merged into the shard. It maintained its shape, just grew a little bit. The Prismite was blasted away from the shard as he tried to draw it near.

oh, by the way, the note said this: "Ake megf tqlv Ukt. Ru'nn olkc cryf'g chkls." I that should be done correctly, but there might be minor errors, I didn't have a ton of time to do it. the words should be recognizable if you do it right, even if they're a letter or two off.

The Prismite and Nullite did not like touching, but there was no rocketing effect.

Both - Rebus happens to know of a massive underground vein of Nullite very important to the people he is attempting to Antagonize. 

That was about what he expected - he would have to find an emulsifier, eventually. 

A mad scientist name Malan managed to extract Ennuller cores, keep the souls alive, and then use their powers. After he was killed, Rebus took them in case he ever needed an Ennuller soul for something.

Narrators, Ennullers, presumably Luxsprites, and possible people with withergeist bonds have their relevant fundamental substance inside of them, forming a core that fuels their powers. (Even if that wasn't originally canon, it definitely is now - Xino's Ennulling lessons and several other plot points have hinged on it)

so... you just mean Nullite? I knew that much, I just never called it that. Also, canon is a very stretchy thing

An Ennuller core is made of Nullite, but the fact it is a core and still active means it regenerates power from ambient sources, and can still Ennull things. Effectively, he's attempting to place the still-alive soul of an Ennuller on the crystal.
