He nodded and handed her a cup of tea (he'd borrowed the cup from Cricket's cupboards. "It should help you get your strength back. There's some calming in there, too, and more painkillers." He knelt down next to his mess of things and swept everything back into the bag besides a small dish towel, a pair of gloves, and fuzzy socks. 

She removed her hands from the water carefully- she could mostly feel them now, though they were still freezing- then took the cup gratefully and sipped a little.

Rebus smiles. “Of course I’ll share my supplies. How does your procedure work?” He gathers his other fundamental metals while listening carefully to the explanation. 
The Rebus clone nods. “Thank you.” Then he cuts the connection, at least for now. 

The Rebus clone nods. “That has been found already. I have a transcript. Do I need to find the actual paper?” He’s suspecting the wind isn’t actually affiliated with Onyx, but perhaps he could help regardless. 

Kion shifts slightly. “I would say the same, but if you’re awake I didn’t need to be.” 

"Find it," the wind insisted.

It felt . . . kind of weird to have someone caring for her. Even if she had just almost died . . .

Oh, gosh, she was going to start crying again if she thought about that for much longer.

She looked away from Bat and tried to find something else to focus on.

"Thank you." Maybe these people could help him. If not, well, Toby was probably cooked.

A group came over the sand dune, all looking tired. Their wagons moved on their own, but very slowly. The people weren’t riding them, even though there appeared to be plenty of room.
