Onyx cannot help anyone, the guide replied in the same neutral voice. I cannot tell you my name. I do not have a name. Onyx cannot help anyone.

"Please," said the inspector, alarm creeping into his voice. "If you continue as you are, you may attract the attention of the destroyer."

“Interesting. Onyx feels guilty, does he. Well, let me tell him something. His very distancing, designed to prevent harm, is hurting countless people.” Ista looked at the inspector. “The destroyer? Well, if that refers to Onyx, maybe that name is the problem. If not, I will also get Onyx’s attention. He will be able to protect us. I trust him.”

Lol Ciara was walking towards him, not away

Ciara waved her hand, and the vortex disappeared. She seemed surprised to find another Enuller in her stronghold. "What are you doing here?"

@kpShadowFox

"After judging her brother's honesty and love, I decided to aid her to free her from a defected Ennuller." He snaps again, and the area around Ciara collapses in on itself, preventing her from moving around.

Hmm. It seems you have been derailed. Tell me, where was your destination?

"Why are you doing this?" asked Nogard. "None of us want to fight you."

[Oh yeah,] said Bacon. [It's fleeing time.]

He flapped after Tam, keeping a sharp eye out for any surprises. This operation had gone smoothly so far. If he knew anything about basic narrative structure, he knew that was a bad sign.

"Well, if they wipe each other out, it might be good to rewind and give them a second chance. See if a different approach might work. It'd be sad to let all that storytelling potential go to waste, after all!"

Ordinary normal blade was tied to desolation

"Then do not fight." The blue barrier wavered again and Falvan scowled at it. Then, in addition to the heat of the inside of the blue light dome, all inside began to feel drained. As if...if...there strength was leaving them -no- as if their power was leaving them.

Ok, so I just scoured all over to try and find where Desolation was defeated. You reference his defeat a couple of times so I know he was. But it was over a year ago at this point, so I don't remember how he was defeated. I thought that it was something about reversing the connection of the sword. That would be making whoever has it had been in Desolations control, (Falvan had to fight his friends), and mentally imprisoned, to Desolation being imprisoned by his own weapon. If that is wrong, that's totally alright. You just might know better than I would what happened to your character. We should both know what happened or what we will use going forward before we continue with it.

Oh dear

Everything stopped. The trees, the guide, the inspector, all as if frozen in time.

"You are a fool who thinks they are wise," said the inspector, neutrally. "You. Know. Nothing."

That was the wrong thing to say.

A hand burst from the dirt. Then another, then another- until hundreds of pale-skinned, empty-eyed corpses began to pull themselves out of the ground.

In the distance, a man approached. In his right hand, he carried a sword of silver and blue and black.

The destroyer.

"Taking what I deserve from those who don't deserve it. Don't fight it, it will go faster that way."

Ista shrugged. “I’m guessing he is Onyx, then.”

I’m guessing he isn’t, then

She blasted every corpse near her with frost, freezing them all. “I don’t think I’m wise. I just think I need Onyx. Nothing more than that.”

Ista cocked her head, then dropped the temperature of the air around the farthest corpses to the point that the oxygen isolated itself, and exploded. “Can we be civil? Or are you just gonna kill me, perhaps hurt me to the point that I go insane?”

eh

Red light shimmered over the amassed army, knitting together flesh and bone. They opened their mouths and spoke with a hundred voices:

"ONYX WILL NOT SAVE YOU."

Ista nodded cheerily. “Cool!” She jumped, exploding the air behind her and fleeing farther from the army and the man. She kept them so she could see them, though.

"YOU WILL

JOIN US"

The inspector abruptly started moving again, pulling Erif and following Ista in fleeing from the horde. He was muttering something to himself, but what it was couldn't be made out.

Ista hollers after them. “Eh. Think I’m fine.” She hits a few with guilt.

There is nothing there.

Around them and in front of them, more and more hands break free of the soil.

Ista rolled her eyes. “I’m not sorry, if that’s what your looking for, Onyx.”

She flees again, farther back.

this feels like it was a baaaad idea.

The inspector was counting the corpses. More and more rose from the ground every second, grabbing their ankles with dry, grasping fingers.

Cricket gasped, watching the two Enullers casually fight each other. It was truly astonishing to see such power... and yet, it felt weak somehow. It felt as if they were barely trying, it felt relaxed.

Another snap, and a wave of entropic energy shoots towards the ground around her, disintegrating the ground around her. "I have my reasons"

She meant to say this but it actually came out as ‘Raisens’. Sorry…

Ciara floated up into the air slightly to avoid falling. Then, no longer on the defensive, she threw three silvery blades towards Quagmire.
