Hacob saw the Valiant One charge the Great Wizard and groaned. Now was not the time. A knot of grass twisted around the Valiant One's feet as he ran.

The man before Platypus held a sword, one that shone with the power of Plot. On his head, he wore the crown of Suddenly, Pineapples, and Platypus felt the dread influence of that most powerful of Plotblade upon him, no longer lying dormant and useless. The General defended against the combined attack without stepping yielding. A hand knocked aside Zanitar’s Brightwield, sending it sailing through the air to impale a corpse. A mace flashed, and Hacob’s Narrationblade blurred into mist briefly, just as the General sent a mace crashing toward his chest.

The Valiant One tripped and fell on his face. He was promptly smothered under a pile of invisible rabbits.

Sasha felt herself blush, but she wasn’t sure why. These people were strange, and they had strange names. She wasn’t used to any of this. Maybe it was nervousness, or perhaps embarrassment at the unfamiliarity of it all. Her smile faded, replaced by sudden tears as she thought of what she’d left behind when she died. She hadn’t even gotten to say goodbye. And she’d never told Safren… never told him she loved him. 
She looked sharply away. Get yourself together, Sasha. Chasms, you’re a disaster. 
“Do you guys travel a lot?” She asked, blinking the wetness out of her eyes.
