"Well, no, but I make it a goal to at least keep the option of friendship open towards everyone. And to be frank, names are pretty useful even amongst people who aren't friends. I mean, without a name you'd just be 'that dude with a staff.' What if some other dude with a staff comes along?"

He sighed. "You can call me Sandy."

"All... this." Erif gestured generally. "What have you accomplished? Obtaining a spear you don't know how to use? Rebuilding a rabbit bridge? How is any of this supposed to help break the curse?"

Nogard shuffled his feet. "I..." He swallowed. For some reason, the words wouldn't come out.

Erif shook his head, disgusted, and walked away. The rain continued to fall.

Nogard sighed. "You wouldn't happen to have an umbrella, would you?"

“Curse?” Gail asked. “What curse?”

"Ah," said Nogard. "It's... a curse on my home. Kind of a long story. It's not a big deal."

"Well, you can't be friends with someone without having a name for them, can you? I have the names of all these people- that's Shoe, that's Jilu, that's Aero, that's Hrank, that's the Once-Author..."

Nogard continued to deliberately ignore Woe as best as he could.

@SpiritOfWrath, that is a cool pfp, especially if you made it yourself!

Nogard frowned. The old man had not yet returned to confirm the end of the quest. He hoped nothing had happened to them.

I combined two aons, based on my newest RP character, Teon Asheol. (The aons being teo and sheo)

“That… kind of sounds like a big deal,” she pointed out.

“Did your bunny have red fur, Gail?”

She shook her head sadly. “She was gray and white… my perfect little baby…………”

She choked down more tears.

"Well," said Nogard, glad to have an excuse to change the subject, "we did just finish a quest. I'm open to a new one. Shoe, what do you think, should we try to find her rabbit?"

Shoe was laying, eyes closed, in the mud. He nodded.

The OA, having completed his assassination, presses the button that detonates the computer bomb.

The hamster, having secretly removed that and put it into the OA's pocket, in exchange for his hat, laughed as he ran off into the rain.

"Well, there you go!" said Nogard. "Let's go find that rabbit. Now, where did you last see her?"

She brightened immeasurably. “Under the mountain!”

"The mountain, eh? Which mountain?"

Shoe was slowly sinking into the mud.

It felt good in a . . . squishy sort of way.

Nogard looked at Shoe with slight concern. "Er... Do you need help?"

The rain ended abruptly, in a single flash.

With the newly cleared skies, the enormous mountain was revealed.

"Ah," said Nogard. "That mountain."

“Yes! That’s the mountain! Do you have more muffins?”

"Or we could, you know, walk? Seems like it's only a mile away, only a slight incline, seems pretty manageable!
