The monster chuckled. "What use are parents when he's got the monster from under his bed with him?"

"Yes, I'm aware that he is your adopted brother, but where are his-and your, parents?" The nurse tapped her pen on her clipboard. "I need them here to discuss treatment."

The monster sheepishly looked down at the floor. Its claws twitched nervously. This was entering dangerous territory.

"Well, they're a little bit preoccupied," it said finally. "There may have been an incident involving breadmunks that landed them in here a couple days ago..."

"Oh, well then. I remember them. I'll go see if I can get them discharged. I believe that the breadmunks have been safely captured, so we can let them out now that it's safe." (The "insane asylum" also doubled as a safe haven for retired heroes with lots of enemies.)

Genie, just waking up from his nap of boredom, started walking down a path, concerned if he missed anything important wile he was asleep.

Said the cannonball. It quickly called in the cavalry. A legion of enchanted cannonballs began battering themselves against the genie like bludgers.

The Genie then offerd the cannon balls eternal life if they would just stop it! Or else he shall wipe them off the face of the earth!

The cannonballs continued doggedly on. They already had eternal life, they were made of metal! (Also, the cannons ordered them to attack the genie, so they would attack it)

Yes, what Genie really meant is that he would obliterate him entirely off the face of-of-the UNIVERSE!!!!!!

Unless he stops constantly trying to beat up a Deity.

The sword again slid harmlessly through his incorporeal form. Genie sighed, for he was sad that this poor fellow had to be put down, for behold The Genie feared what he would do if let free into the world; reeking havoc with his selfishness and lust for violence. But The Genie t'was (fair) merciful as well as just. So The Genie gave @Nameless one last time to change his ways. And if he does successfully change, Nameless will be rewarded with another chance to regain his wish. And to earn 2 more if his goodness persisted.

"I have changed. I have killed a monster. I have saved a thread. I have another impressive feat to add to my collection. and most importantly, this is not a sword. this is The Sword." Nameless' Sword glowed with energy, and when he struck this time, it sucked the genie into it.

Oathbringer spoilers:

Spoiler

The Sword is acting like the knife used to kill Jezrien, except better.

"Now what are you going to do!?" The Genie said tiredly. "I thought you said you changed, Don't you want your wishes?"

Posted (edited)

"I have changed. I think you need to calm down. Would you rather I put you in a bottle and threw you into the sea, let you go after you take an oath not to harm anyone ever again, or put you into some random magic object, forced to power it until it is broken?"
