FatherTiempo he/him Posted February 17, 2020 Posted February 17, 2020 FT reached through layers of Narration, searching for something. The jelly baby swung a jagged axe at his head. FT yelped and scrambled away. He needed--there. He tugged on the two planes of Narration. His, and the one with Sophie's forcefield. The axe slammed into the forcefield, bounced and stuck in the Jelly Baby's eye. Unfortunately Astral was in the forcefield too.

Here, lemme draw you a diagram and you can figure it out for yourself. Sometimes a lack of agreement on the set-up makes things confusing. 1
FatherTiempo he/him Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 Narration Planes are kind of stacked like pancakes. I simply pulled on Sophie's plane, specifically the part with Astral's forcefield and brought the two together. I don't need it long. Just long enough to ward off the Jelly Baby. Then, I'll leave Astral to her lonely forcefield. She should be thankfull though. Celebrity cameos are quite popular on ShardTV, and I'm like The Longest Thread's unofficial mascott. One of many actually. On your Narration Plane it will appear as if FT magicallly popped into being inside the forcefield. On the Jelly Baby side of things it looks like I summoned a magical forcefield. Also I wanted to check on Sophie to see how the treatment's going. Diagrams: This is my masterful diagram of Narration Planes This is my haunting yet poignant representation of the drama ontop of the mountain. This is me back in the real world. 3

First of all, Sophie is not on a different plane than all of you. "Planes" are different threads, actually. No, Sophie is simply in a different part of the TLT Narrational plane, a part which she has sectioned off to keep the plot safe from tampering. That said, I would have very little problem with you jumping in... except for the fact that Astral's forcefield is very, very, very small. Only enough room for one person. She is laying down, and her forcefield is on her like a sarcophagus. Make sense? 1

xinoehp512 he/him Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 Jacob pointed out that there was no rule against rules. 1

Besides, there are rules inside the forcefield. That's... kinda the point of the forcefield. It separates the randomness from the plot.

She let out a shrill squeak, calling all nearby breadmunks to action. They would take down this spy if it was the last thing they did. 5 hours ago, Lunamor said: But A.C.’s blood looked odd. Different, not entirely right. The color was off. Instead of a bright red, it was a light brown, nearly translucent. It flowed at an incredibly slow rate, in no hurry to get anywhere. The light of the orange sun seemed to almost set it ablaze, little sparkles of light dotting its entire surface. Had one dared to touch it, they would have found it to be rather sticky. His blood was gone, replaced with a substance far more sinister. Syrup. Low and behold, the candy cane had been coated in a layer of deadly poison, from the deepest, darkest parts of the candy army's ranks. As A.C. slumped to the side of the trench, every bit of his being began to slowly turn into sugar. His blood was only the start. The only thing that could save him now were the breadmunks, since all others thought him a traitor. edit: Which he may or may not be. Edited February 18, 2020 by Rosharan A.C.

"That's no weapon of ours" Nameless accused, "Were did it come from?". The blob quivered slightly, then pounced on Nameless, swallowing him in an instant.
Lunamor she/her Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 A new label was added to its wrapper- “Extra Protein”.
FatherTiempo he/him Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 Hmmmm... I would argue the point about multiple planes of Narration existing within one thread, but I do have to admit that these two plot lines are occurring on the same plane. Bother. Due to the laws of continuity--they don't actually exist, they're more like guidelines Narrators follow so we don't cause people's heads to explode--FT released his hold on the forcefield, sending it rocketing back to the mountain from whence it came. Well, it didn't actually rocket back, because it wasn't actually 'there' in the first place. It existed in a sort of half-inbetween-wormholey--The Jelly Baby ripped the axe from its head with a sucking noise. It swung laterally, seeking to dismember FT before he finished his lecture on Narration dynamics. FT ducked under the axe and leaped for the Jelly Baby's midriff. He plunged through the layers of gelatin--remarkably similar to plunging through layers of Narration--Until he exploded out the back end.
NameIess Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 FT didn't notice the brown blob surging towards him until it was too late.
NameIess Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 The blob's package now also read: "Warning: high sodium content"
Snake Eyes Productions_YT he/him Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 Scared for his life, FT decided to leap for the next building over.

He slipped it into his clipboard and crossed out the text written on it. Edited February 18, 2020 by xinoehp512 1
xinoehp512 he/him Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 The text shattered into nothingness, destroyed by Jacob's Shard-pen. He nodded with satisfaction and wrote something else down on his clipboard. With that, he vanished. 1 hour ago, The Face of Daiseri said: Scared for his life, FT decided to leap for the next building over. He nearly missed it.
Snake Eyes Productions_YT he/him Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 Now FT was even more frightened. Breadmunk Area HQ is a torture chamber!! "I'm doomed!" FT shouted.
FatherTiempo he/him Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 I'd be annoyed, but this is pretty much how I'd thought it would probably go. The breadmunks were alerted by his cries.
