Butt venture, as he wasn't residing in the previously mentioned universe (he was on a day trip) sipped his tea

Tom studied her for a moment. "I should feel something," he muttered. "I know I have to have some feeling left, somewhere, or I wouldn't do anything at all."

Star waved her hand, a picture of Tamika's face rippling in the air.  "She could make you feel," Star said. "You know this. You've known it for a long time, yet you keep denying it."

He closed his eyes and looked away. He reached into his belt and pulled out the Key.

"Perhaps," he said. "But the price would be too high to pay."

"What price?"

*sits quietly in a corner, humming and waiting for this conversation to finish*

*bows* I'm glad we could entertain.

Tom closed his eyes. "The price of letting go," he whispered, barely loud enough for her to hear it.

"Oh, my dear," Star said, setting her hands on Tom's shoulders and rubbing them slightly. "We all have to do hard things. The hero has to be brave. Do you really want to keep hiding? Watching yourself whither away?"

Tom kept his eyes closed. But, deep inside, he could feel something. The first something he'd felt in a long, long while.

"I hate you," he whispered. Then he opened his eyes, full of despair. "Send for Tamika."

This is awkward.

*grabs popcorn*

Star vanished. She found Tamika and prompted her to return. He wants you, she whispered in the girl's ear. She turned around and scaled the steps once more. 

Tamika paused at the door. What should she even say? "Tom?" she asked, pushing the door open.

“Shhhh, don’t interrupt the story,” Narrator Snip turns to Thought and Xino, “Please continue.” He smiles before eating another handful of popcorn.

Tom turned to Tamika. He extended the Key in a trembling hand, pushed it into her chest, and turned. He withdrew it, breathing hard.

"Pheonix," Star said, "he is restoring her memories? I need to know which ones."

HE WAITED FOR IT TO COOL DOWN!!!!
