She nodded to Blurred. Perhaps a confirmation. She stopped and looked like she wanted to talk but didn't know how to start a conversation.

blurred appeared infront of her. He was a taller man, built like a normal guy. Except his lack of features as he was just a rippling blackness. "Hello, what is your name new one?"

Ryna. You are… Blurred. Right? You feel like a Narrator. What are you? Why do you look like… this?”

Apologies on the authors part. I instinctively typed what I call him cause his name is             and you cant say that irl xD. Anyways. "Eh yes. Im not necessarily a Narrator but something of the sorts. And as for why i look like this? New one, you will see strange people and not all have explanations."

“I see,” she said. “I am familiar with this sort of thing. Just your condition is new to me.”
Also, she knows things she shouldn't know. For reasons. Y'all will find 'em out in a while.

"I am living, Dax. You are not real enough for your memory of me to matter - I need the Authors, and for that I need a story. Enough appeal and infamy and I could even end up as a memeplex, propagating my very idea and being between Authors."

"I could try music. In the forest, I could always find my way with a song." Lyric looked around. "I'm not sure it would work here, but... well, it might be worth a try."

Balitan's soul was free of any contamination that Rebus could sense, but it seemed dull, not as full of life as an average person's.

Balitan blinked, looking up at the screen. "The... equipment is all still intact. Luxite... we'd gathered only a small amount, I've been... detection technology not quite advanced enough for optimal efficiency." As Balitan spoke, color returned to both his soul and his body. He straightened in his chair, and when he spoke next, he sounded more like himself. "What little we had, he took. I wouldn't say it's enough to be dangerous, however. The Mordite and Nullite, I'd be more worried about. I had... quite a lot of Nullite here, and a lesser but still significant amount of Mordite." He cleared his throat, entering a command into the computer, pulling up a screen showing data on the lost stores. "However, I'm more worried about the theft of data. Malevolence is intelligent enough to put to use what we've learned, and begin isolating all the metals for himself. More importantly, he wiped all our logs. Any data I don't have memorized is gone, unless your nanobots can recover it. This will set my research... quite a ways back." Balitan sighed. "I had hoped to be able to share this research soon. These isolation techniques could change the Thread!"

Jack nodded slowly. "Try it."

Rebus supposed that made sense, since (as far as his Author remembered) he'd directly created Balitan, templating off a hypothetical person from one of Omen's trials. If there weren't any withergeist bonds being made, though, the refinement process was probably safe enough to use. "The data is an issue - my backups stopped happening when you dropped out of focus, so I mainly have our old experiments." He frowned, checking any caching on the system that Malevolence may have missed. "I feel, however, that anything that would have worked before will continue to do so - both Malevolence and I have enough established capacity and plot armor that we can draw from 'nebulous villain supplies' for our tools. Changing the Thread requires social engineering of the Authors, not just research." Nebulous Villain Supplies could be a Plotblade, though at the moment Antagonist has domain over the concept. If the Dreamsmith ever unmakes it, though...

"Hello, Hawks." He smiled at the Author, then seemed to fuzz, snapping back to reality five days later and frowning at how much time had passed. "What do you have to say?"

Second of all! For no reason whatsoever. What's your opinion on angst? Third! Also for no reason. What are your two biggest regrets?" They say quickly (ya know how I talk when I get excited)

Also, we need to decide on the spelling and grammar for the TLT wiki.

We have 3 choices.

  1. Canadian English
  2. American English
  3. British English

I prefer Canadian English for obvious reasons.

What're the differences?

I vote British English

She started following Unintelligible.

Unintelligible looked back at her and frowned. “Are you Ivisyre in disguise, waiting until Sequence is healed to kill all of us, to let me taste hope before snatching it all away?”

Lyric cleared his throat, then sang in a somber tone.

“Spirit of this mall. Guide our path this day. Let us see, set us free, send us on our way.”

as he sang, the walls Jack saw shifted. The a path opened, revealing what looked like the natural wall of the mall, lined with abandoned stores.

“Yes, well. Just because it works, doesn’t mean I will get the credit for discovering it.” Balitan said grumpily. “And now he can do what only we could.”

Rebus’s search didn’t turn up any of the lost data. It did, however, turn up an encrypted video log.

Unintelligible grimaced. “I… look, I don’t have time to explain in detail. My…” he hesitated. “My friend Sequence, she was a Narrator. And she was wounded terribly, in a way that only a Narrator could survive. Then her powers were stolen. So now… now we’re here at this mansion, hoping the person who lives here can heal her. If he can’t, or we’re too late, then…” Unintelligible looked down at Sequence’s unconscious face, and his expression hardened. “No use thinking about it. If you want to follow us, then follow us.” With that, he stepped into the dim lighting of the mansion.

"Survival is their only long term goal. A big reason to stay in Threads is, if almost everyone around you doesn't know of the Dark Forest, then the Dark Forest doesn't exist. Other alien civilisations do not know of the Threads and can't get here even if they did, without someone helping them. By coming here, they have left the Dark Forest. Sure, most of their population is still on Trisolaris, but if they get destroyed, this one still survives. But here there are new problems, although none as big as the threat of a Dark Forest Strike, like the fact that with magic, all it takes is a single person to wipe them out completely. Gaining magic themselves provides some defense."

No. *bonk* We're doing British English or Canadian English. Whoever edited the 12184 page converted it to British and that's what we're doing. If anything, it would be in High Imperial.

Do y'all prefer recognise or recognize?

I edited it, since 18142's my character. High Imperial doesn't have consistent grammar though. A conlang, on the other hand...

Recognise. Jokes aside though, I do think it would be really cool if we made a TLT conlang. Would anyone else be interested in working on one?

Why not do High Imperial anyway? It is slightly understandable even without previous knowledge.

...

Key word: slightly

For words like university, High Imperial already expands it to 'wasing the where of the knows'

The word count in all the wiki pages is going to double, and stuff won't be clear. High Imperial is not a good option.

I'd like to conglang, even if it wasn't for the wiki pages. Our characters speaking a new, full-fledged language would be really cool.

Would you, Shatter, be interested in conlanging?

For the actual vote, I'm going to abstain. I feel like pages should match the creator's preferences.
