She didn't. She seemed perfectly healthy, other than the fact that she'd just passed out. Oh, and there was a small cut on her wrist, just at the edge of her sleeve. She was wearing a green flowy dress that covered almost her whole body, save for her head and her hands. Her feet weren't covered by the dress either, but feet aren't really covered by dresses very often. Under her dress, she wore blue leggings that extended to her ankles, where she then was barefoot.

Her eyes shot open, and she reached to grab the thing nearest her.

Just create a character, literally anything, and pop them in somewhere, or have them appear and people are bound to interact with them.

The surroundings and Echo’s character turned back to their usual color. “Terribly sorry about that.”

"It's fine. I've had this thing for about an hour now, and it's barely grown at all!" Unintelligible surreptitiously attempted to scrub the black residue off of a scratch on the finger that had almost gotten stabbed.

Sequence stared at him incredulously for a moment. “It’s grown? In under an hour?” She rubbed her eyes for a moment, looking like she might faint. “Come on! You surely understand how worrying that is! Please, let me try to treat it!”

Well anyways a bit later i met Ashton.. and he was a bit mean but i know he didnt mean it. He wanted to protect me and stuff.” She forces a smile. “And then we met a buncho people and they taught us about the thread. Thats where i met bacon and the scribe. The scribe he gave me this.” She held out her dragon plushie, “its protects me. And whenever i am in trouble it alerts the scribe.. well it did.. then.. he.. well anyways i went on an adventure with bacon to find Ben after we got a letter from him. There bacon helped me fight someone named dot the jesk who did something to Ben and made him all… weird..” she sighed. “It seems everyone i love is always getting hurt… am I cursed sequence?”

Sequence grew more and more concerned as Atlas spoke, gently raising one hand to cover her mouth. “… No, no you’re not cursed, Atlas.” She says quickly, leaning forward and gently taking Atlas’s hand in hers. “Bad things just happen sometimes, and it isn’t your fault… I promise.”

“Exactly,” Rebus said, grinning. “But of course, my goal being that you try to stop me makes it very hard to stop me.”

Sequence nodded with a weary sigh. “That is very true.” She shook her head, looking up at the night sky. “I really don’t want to fight you, Rebus. I know you’re set on doing… What you do, but I still hope you might reconsider.” She said softly, looking back down at Rebus. “…More tea?”

She was like my 2nd or 3rd character on TLT

She was a very silly character, and she ate a bunny rabbit to gain control over the Colour Red.

”The only people like me are bunny rabbits.”

She frowned, touching something in her pocket.

It was a mossy spike. “How’d that get there?”

Yes, now it is short for that

"I see you also are trying to continue plans in the absence of Authors? Speaking of which, what did you do to Cricket?"

Ahh ok. Then the crown would naturally edge him taller than Cep, which is what I was imagining

“Cricket’s absence was mostly unrelated to me. Bacon, likewise - I try not to eliminate characters entirely, especially when they lack a replacement.” Everything Rebus said was true, as always. Of course, one can fit many lies in a truth.

22 hours ago, Hawks said:

erryin nodded. “So you know him huh?”

Asher nodded. “Fascinating” she whispered. “Can i try this? Is it dangerous?”

cade shivers “freaky… where is it?”

Erryin watched them. Every word documented. They wanted to see which cep this was, if they were trustworthy, and to protect them from rebus. Not that they didnt trust him… well they didn’t but did… it was confusing.

“I do. My Author typically reads everything posted here, and I met Cade in person at the last party.”
-

“It is perfectly safe - though certainly disorienting.” A wisp of iridescent dust floated from Rebus’s hand, swirling with light. “When you touch this and tap into it, you will experience the fullness of the Thread for a moment. Then the Prismite will run out, and you’ll go back to normal.”
-

Rebus smiled, tapping his foot to the music on the floor. That sentence is incomprehensible and I really don’t know how to fix it - the music is for the party, his foot is tapping the floor to its beat. The music’s beat - the floor has no beat, because it is a floor. I’m tired, ok?

Yes, Mr. Ennuller stand in was there. He's a little busy talking to Rebus, but he can be back after that's over.

"I could help you!" Lyric said. "It is my sacred duty to guide all who enter these woods. And I've had lots of wanderers who held secret knowledge of the meaning of life come through here over the years."

The Ennuller stand-in nodded. "That is good to hear. We would, however, require some way to keep tabs on you during your travels. Insurance in case your depowered clone went rogue in some way."

His name is Jim, if I recall.
“If you knew the meaning of life, why would you keep it secret?” asked Jack, intrigued.
“You tracked the other travelers - the Corruption Beacon goes to the same place they did. Further insurance, though, might very well be circumvented - my clone lacks the connection to Abstract, and hence does not have to hold to my promises. Of course, having a conscience means he’s more likely to do it anyway.”

Named nodded. "Can your nanomachines produce light? Of differing wavelengths?"

“It can - should you provide feedback, I should be able to get the exact colors, and could actually place the lights within your eyes should you not be averse to further bodily incorporation of your magic.” Clusters of lights, three or four variations to each Draftable color, appeared in the air as nanomachines lit up. “In fact, this here-“ Rebus held out a small cylinder, which would appear to a modern observer as a particularly futuristic flashlight “-can produce enough light to duplicate the execution method from quite a significant distance. Up close, the sheer amount of light can easily vaporize steel. It is a window into a star, after all.”

Cricket looked away from Bacon, the fog clearing from his eyes and swore. His Author . . . it had happened again. The fading. This needed to stop. And Rose . . . he froze, afraid to think.

Rebus. he demanded.

Then, something fluttered near him. He frowned, grabbing a paper off the ground. He scanned it. An invitation. Another party of Sequence's. "It doesn't mean anything." he said, speaking to himself. Then he paused.

If there was another Thread-wide party, Rebus would surely be there. He would not miss the opportunity to spread his influence.

"Great Elephant and Thread, take me to safety, take me to solace. I promise no violence and I promise civility, grant me entrance to Sequence's world."

Well, maybe a little violence.

Rebus was there, all right. His armor was more elaborate than usual, with a longer cape edged in embroidered hexagons. Antagonist was the same, though the outfit seemed to point towards the dark ground, and the mix of friendly smile and triumphant smirk on Rebus’s face.
Rebus had noticed Cricket, though he didn’t show it - he decided to let Sequence welcome him, and to let Cricket begin whatever dramatic confrontation he had in mind.

Maybe a little violence.

He took a step forward.

" 'Mostly' lacks a definite meaning, but nonetheless implies that you did, in fact, have something to do with it. Which, I admit, is obviously smart, as he is the best bet at taking you down—he has the greatest chance of claiming Protagonist. Taking him out would be a smart move."

Meanwhile, Cep is keeping half an eye on the interaction between Cricket and Rebus, presumably happening somewhere nearby, with great interest and an eye for any opportunity.

Actually hang on Jilu came in in a burst of darkness not light

Sorry

Um

The light is the evil one

Theyre both kinda evil but the darkness’ goals align with those of a good purpose

“I wouldn’t eat that if I were you.”

Jilu gasped as something spoke in her voice. “Apparently, this thing needs to be destroyed. Pulverized, crushed, deadened, undone, but don’t give it to anyone sick.”

Hahahaha

Anyways…
