Rebus seemingly stood there as he was  buffeted by the wind, hit with Betrayal’s sword, and set on fire. But the sword had passed through too cleanly, with no resistance, and the fire passed through to the other side. “You misunderstand,” Rebus said, standing on the other side of Betrayal from the hologram. “I don’t deserve Symbol’s trust. I know that.” 

Rebus thought for a second. Once I determined what the paper says, if I need you I’ll contact you. 

Rebus chuckled. “Most likely. Are you implying that I couldn’t get back out once I did?”

“I know you can sense me, Evaiya,” she said softly, stepping just far enough into view to reveal the outline of her pixie-cut hair. “But talking… that depends on what you want. Some conversations have a cost.”

Her eyes, one dark blue and the other faintly glowing gold, scanned Evaiya with quiet assessment. She didn’t move closer.

She knows your name.

Ryna stiffened for just a heartbeat, her glowing eye narrowing slightly. Then, almost imperceptibly, she relaxed—but didn’t return the gesture.

“I don’t usually… let people walk right up to me,” she said, her tone even but layered with caution. “Knowing my name doesn’t mean you know me.”

Ryna took a slow, deliberate step forward, but didn’t fully leave the shadows. The faint glow of her golden eye traced the contours of Evaiya’s face, assessing, calculating.

“I’ll meet you halfway,” she said finally, her voice calm, almost teasing. “But don’t mistake it for trust. There’s a difference between stepping into the light and letting someone see it all. You’ll have to earn my trust.”

It explains the next events under her backstory. Its like impossible to figure out her story.
