“Hmm.” she sighed. “Maybe I’m the only sane one left.” she muttered, mostly to herself.

Rose was no longer sure of anything. "Sorry, what?"

Rebus frowned. Narration - he had full control over his reflexes, and didn’t even need to blink if he didn’t want to. Then he saw the Shardblade - which was Parasite, if he was correct - moving, and sprung to block. Overclocking his mind and body, moving air out of the way so there was less resistance, Rebus caught the Shardblade on Antagonist and twisted, wrenching it out of Aeon’s hands with the halberd. It would be back in moments, but in a battle between a cronomancer and a posthuman, moments were a long time.
He launched a flurry of literally hypersonic attacks, using Antagonist and utility fog - which was fully invisible and using almost hydraulic methods for incredibly force - to distract Aeon for long enough to draw a cylinder from his side.

Smoke began to rise from Cursed Treasure, and Lezterp could feel tugging at the slight bond between them.

Ignoring the ninjas, Rebus ran to Symbol and embraced her. She was safe - he hoped.
Rebus nodded, knowing how emotional Mr. Whitlock must be.

“I would doubt it,” Rebus said, smiling. “You’re still working with me, after all.”

Hopefully this was still relevant. She hugged him tightly back, then pulled back to glare at him. "Why'd you do that?"

Mr. Whitlock moved back to his desk and stared blankly at his schematics.

@ChipsAHoid, what's your character's name?

Renn. And the god is Axzi. Renn is the one I’m rping, Axzi is the one who grants him power, though indirectly from a different god. Popped up after twinstorm’s character was spreading misinformation, to give guidance.

Renn looked at the first man who had appeared. If he had offered his name Renn had already forgotten. For all his skill with a knife, he still was lacking in many other areas, most noticeably in social skills.

”My god has spoken. What do you propose as a deal?”

Axzi aboveThought Renn as yet another person appeared next to him. He couldn’t even have a moment to think without being bombarded by gods vying for his loyalty. He wasn’t even important. He thought for a moment. Perhaps he should show these gods the respect that they warranted. He bowed to this new god.

”Do you also have an offer for me, great one?”

Poor Renn is just assuming that everybody is a god and has an agenda about what to do him. Unless you can offer smth better than @Kansas Stormcursed, he’s not even considering.

So he agreed to be an autonomous part of Rebus’ empire if the gods opposing him are destroyed. Rebus sent smth out but idk what. Cool magic lore: his first, and main domain is Order, and if he cannot keep it, he can’t use his other domains. He has partial Order, so he can use his second domain, but it is much weaker, and can only affect mortals with such low power. And Renn is basically ready to sign a deal with you.

Hey! That's exactly what I was doing in the Secret Wars Ultimate Crossover RP

My character in Secret Wars was Sandy from BftS too, so...

18142 used a sophon to talk to Sandy. Within moments, Sandy quantum tunnelled beside him.

Sophons are sentient protons by the way. It's using quantum entanglement to allow for FTL communication.

Speaking of which, do you know if that’s still happening? (Rebus was interfering there, too)

Rebus nodded to Sandy, though for once he lacked much of the knowledge and preparation he’d been accustomed to. “Welcome to the Thread, Sanadanas. I am the ruler of much of it, and the holder of Antagonist. My name is Rebus.”
That’s really cool, actually - both I and Rebus will investigate further, eventually.

A Narrator is a being of Chaotic Order - creativity and creation, unchecked and wild. They can do almost anything (including break the fourth wall) and can only be countered by beings or objects of similar power (there’s more lore, but that should be sufficient for this). But yes, Asharak, not being a Narrator, could exit the Thread without punishment.

I will guide you. Bring the following and you may survive.

He reconsiders.

You may look really cool, and defeat them with ease. Bring light, of the non-magical variety, insecticide, medicine of any variety, a strong resolve, and your wits. Approach the man in black armor at the border and say you have business with the Lord of Darkness. Do not speak his name, for that is how he gains power over you. If he does not believe you, damage him but leave him alive. He is the only one who can bring you to Derior, Fortress of the Fallen. Beware any who seek to help you…

"We need all the help we can get. I do not need you to abandon your own goals. In fact, there may be ways I can help you." Sandy still had the Bands of Mourning in his hand. "I can give you this and show you the Quantum State."

18142 whispered something in Sandy's ear.

"Not now," Sandy said softly.

By the way, 18142 has not appeared anywhere else yet. Although I feel tempted to play one of these characters in a Sanderson Elimination game... I'll consider it in QF66, or at least I think that's the next one.

Sandy's face took on a look of contemplation. "Renn, consider this, and tell 18142 if you agree or have any questions."

Sandy entered the Quantum State. He looked the same to those around him, but to him the world changed completely. He could see in 10 of the 11 dimensions of reality, the 11th being time. The world, with only three spatial dimensions, was a wisp. He could see through everything; nothing was hidden from him. When he looked at Renn, he could see his skin, the muscles beneath his skin, the bones beneath his muscles... if he looked close enough, the mechanisms in every individual cell could be seen.

Moving at all even when you're in 4 dimensions was dangerous. I you tried to shake someone's hand, you could easily shake their bones instead. Hug someone, and could send their organs flying into different 3D slices of 4D reality. But it was even more dangerous for Sandy, because he was in a 10D reality, which is why he preferred to use AQTT, or Augmented Quantum Tunneling Transportation.

Sandy activated AQTT, and to those outside of Quantum State he disappeared. His Quantum Navigation Assistant on his wrist showed 10 numbers, 10 coordinates, but they changed far too fast to be readable.

Sandy tapped zinc to be able to read them. All ten coordinates fluctuated randomly, with no pattern. But the last 7 of them didn't matter, because when he returned to 3 dimensions, all other coordinates would return to the location of the thin 3D slice where everything mattered. Sandy looked up from the QNA, seeing that Renn and 18142 were now quite distant in the 6th Dimension, as well as the 4th. In the distance of the 9th Dimension, he spotted an object he couldn't quite see through in the same way. A... 5D object? He'd have to investigate that later.

For now, he focused. Here, the distinction between Realms didn't exist, and although it mostly resembled the Physical as the other Realms fell apart at higher dimensions, there were some Cognitive Aspects. Like if Sandy thought hard enough, he could move, in a direction that wasn't entirely random. His coordinates still fluctuated greatly, but he was moving in a general direction.

He began tapping AQTT speed from his steelmind (it was a major breakthrough when it was discovered that steelminds could store it) and zipped into the expanse of 10D space, far away from the world of the Thread. His target? Alpha Centauri, or Trisolaris as he called it.

Sandy has... significantly grown in power since Secret Wars. Well, he had Quantum Tunneling before, but he did it by staying in 3 dimensions. Well, he kind of entered the 4th, but that's only a little.

…I missed this

Renn stared. Why did a god of this power want him? Even his own people didn’t. Perhaps it was best not to dwell on the past. He had no idea what this being was, but whatever it was, it should be seeking those above him.

“How would a being of your power require help?” Renn asked incredulously.
