Hm. I will ponder this also. But power does not equate to right, nor goodness. If there is a being by which I should put this, that being knows, none of us deserve this power. We’re still just people. Weak, fallible people.

True. I simply align with Rebus because it serves my goals and keeps me safe.

I don't believe so, but I also believe in being careful. An acquaintance of mine was openly hostile toward him and is still fine though.

I have as of yet no reason for open hostility, nor can I trust the words of others without proof, nor a chance for self defense, but… the ends never justify the means.

You trouble me. You sow seeds of dissent among my loyal. But perhaps rightly so. I will ponder this. But the title Antagonist troubles me as well. What good soul would be titled such a thing?

I… am fighting a war against my own. Some of the gods do not submit to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. While they do not submit, I am but a shade of my true power. I have but 2 of my domains left.

This is a suitable explanation. Thank you. I would like to meet him before I make such an oath.

Oh I'm not scared of Rebus. He's merely a Narrator, albeit with an extremely powerful Plotblade. As my Author's Avatar, he can do nothing to hurt me permanently. Besides, I work for him.

Renn paused. He admired strength, but he would not betray his god.

”I will hear out any who wish, so I’m listening. However, one who insults my god is not one whom I am inclined to trust.”

Renn paused again. That was probably the most words he’d said in a while.

His voice was not like a booming thunder, but rather soft and mellow. 

“Some of what this… being says is true. Some is not. For one, I am not afraid. Concerned, perhaps, but not truly afraid. Beyond that, she endorses a power she calls evil. I would not trust her further than I would throw her.”

He looked at her disapprovingly.

”She is correct that I am not as physically or likely magically  capable as many, but with time you will learn.”

”Some of these I would trust though. The man you tried to stab, for instance. Many things you think you know about me are untrue. I am not truly all knowing, and not all who do not serve me are evil, just a select few. However, it is likely she could kill me. Yes, I can die. I was, like you, a mortal, albeit one who was given great power. If you wish to “find a banner to rally under”, I would suggest against hers. However, the choice is yours.”

”I do have one gift for you though. While you were born without magic, I grant it to you now. Wield the power of Dakko with my blessing.
