I'm pulling Tam out until Bat comes back because all the watching and waiting was not having a good effect on her.

Plus if Rebus talks to her any more she's going to go absolutely berserk (and I don't blame her).

Perhaps if another Author (and not their Narrator) were to help a certain other Author progress their plot with the possible Protagonist?

Heheh.

There are many like that here, said another, briefly relevant, omniscient voice.

And then it vanished.

"Maybe you could give me something to do." Bacon sighed. "I'm afraid I've lost all sense of direction. I'm not even sure where I am right now!"

Jack pointed at the castle. "That's the castle. It used to be called Entoturis, apparently. As for metaphorical direction, I'm looking for some myself." How's a plotline as a prize?

Alright. (Rebus wanted her to go berserk, but I get why she shouldn't)

Rebus glowered at Heir and Glass for taking away his plotlines, but Sagerian somehow managed to get to the entrance to the caverns. @Bird Furious, or I can alternately run a random character from the Eternal Mountains - or who ended up there naturally.

The platform was faintly warm. It seemed like some sort of shell, and was definitely alive- well, whatever was in it was.

"Huh. Seems like a giant... Shrimp? Maybe?" He held out his arm for Eepy, and looked around for some sign of land. "Damn I hate water."

(I know. I'm not willing to lose her yet. Especially not like that.)

Glass smiled.

No progressing your own plots through Bat's story, either. Not unless Haly agrees. Just help her with/to plan hers.

The water hated him back.

'Twas a giant turtle. The shell was weirdly warm . . .

It took a deep breath of air and stayed just below the surface, resting.

All my characters have approximate character arcs, but none of them really have any plots going, other than Rebus.

Rebus doesn't control all my characters. (Though there is at least one character Rebus directly instructs...

*return hug*

I'm fine. School is ending soon, so I have a zillion things to do, but I'm getting around to them. My sleep schedule, too, is messed up, but that's mostly self-inflicted (for instance, it's after midnight right now...). I hope you can find some time/method to sleep well and be no longer grumpy - I should probably go to bed myself.

“Excellent. What I am, and what I believe you are, is a Narrator. Narrators channel Chaotic Light - pure creativity, essentially - and can use it to do practically anything. Most Narrators alter the nature of reality itself, and Narrate themselves further abilities like perceiving the true nature of the Thread - and of course, they can mind control people, create planets, clone themselves, and basically anything else they want. In ordinary circumstances, Narrators don’t have to worry about running out of power, but we can be countered by beings of similar power, and can’t make truly fundamental items like Plotblades or Fundamental Essences.” Rebus gave his monologue some time to sink in.
Meat had been expecting exactly such a reaction.

“Is the talking of high! Am the having of sharp, elbrag. Ffortress, unmarket. Tennis analogies, moon fur.” Meat blinked at his own devolving communication, then leapt into the air and clobbered an invisible snake with a piano frying pan.

Oh, ok
