The Render stopped, pivoting its “face” towards him. It was, at the moment, best described as a pile of dirt and rocks in the shape of a large, crude humanoid. “I cannot do this without a replacement. Metal would be best, but your bones will suffice.” 

"...You want my bones? All right." 

Taeidin takes off his sack and begins rummaging through it. He pulls out a large amount of mottled, grey bones. 

"I was saving these, but you can have them."

The Render reach out and touched them. They moved into its body, splintered into razor-sharp shards, and pushed out several random rocks, which it deposited on Taeidin’s hand.

It was shorthand descriptions of nearly everything strange Sagerian was able to see, and the notebook was a good third of the way through.

Last time, ye went wi’ a daftie ye didnae trust, they nearly took a chunk o' me when they swung that knife. Ye blocked the knife WI’ ME! I still cannae believe ye’d hurt bonnie me like that.”

There were plenty around the edges of the room. Some of the tables, though, had cans of cherry cola. 

Beosta grabbed his face and examined his eyes. “Aha, still blue. Dasgood.” She snorted, then chuckled, then laughed until she almost fell over again.
