"Fine" he said, as he stood slowly

"Watch the scars. They're fresh, and barely healed. I had to stitch them shut. They put us through another kind of he*l down here"

They wouldn't let him stitch them jsyk

They might do it themselves

Just now, Through The Living Glass said:

". . . I guess."

She offered her hand again to the girl.

She flinched, then leaned on the wall to stand up on her own. She swayed on her feet.

"Good! Let's go!" Aden dashed out of the room.

She sighed and kept her hand outstretched to the girl.

"We need to hurry. C'mon."

Irie dropped down beside him.

"This one, too?" she whispered, pointing to the person on the other side of the bars.

Not waiting for an answer, she got to work getting through the bars.

Her room, huh? 🤨😂

"We're your rescuers," Irie offered.

She collapsed next to him.

"Didn't know you could glow, pretty boy."

"Yeah," he said absently.

The girl on the other side of the bars--- they could see because of the glowing flashlight on Aden and Irie's heads--- sat up, eyes wide.

"What she said," Aden said absently. The lock clicked open. "Perfect! Hurry up, kid."

Even though they were the same age.

"Yeah." he said softly. "Thanks... thanks for saving me back there."

I figure its apart of conditioning, injuring others and healing those you've injured.

Starlight rolled his eyes, and took of with the boy anyways

You can say Hell 😂

"I know," she said quietly.

Just being careful lol

Starlight watched the girl, seeing the nervousness on her face

Irie cringed inwardly and got her plasma-thingy ready. She was probably going to have to defend her- though it hopefully wouldn't be too difficult if they avoided attention . . .

Don't remember the name, sorry. I'll find it in a sec 😂

Sorry, my brain is not on board with me. I'm gonna have to think about what he would do and come back to this later.

She stumbled out into the hallway, took a deep breath, and broke into a shaky run.

Starlight watched the girl struggle to run, and slowed to her pace to ask her "Do you want me to carry you? It might be easier on your body"

They got from the dark hallway to the light one and saw a guard leading another prisoner @TwinStorm

"Aw, heck," Aden swore, drawing the hilt of a sword (no blade, just the hilt. Irie's got one too :D )

Ah, sneaky sneaky . . .

Irie drew her own, but didn't turn it on, waiting until the guard was closer.

He shrugged it off, trying not to show his hurt pride. Watching the boy draw the hilt, confused as it didn't look like any weapon he'd ever seen

The guard stopped, looking amazed, then grimaced and drew her sword, leaving the prisoner while she charged.

The girl stiffened as soon as she saw her and backed into the wall with the tiniest whimper.

Aden ducked out of the way of the guard's blade, passing his own through her sword (which she clearly didn't expect) and through her neck.

"Hurry up," he bellowed.

Aden sighed and slowed.

"We're almost there," he yelled. "Just one checkpoint!"

Just now, Through The Living Glass said:

"Quiet!" Irie hissed.

Why were boys always so loud? They were trying to be sneaky!

Aden rolled his eyes. "It's the middle of the night, Irie. Anyone around isn't going anywhere."
