Well, Tam hoped it wouldn't die. It was scudding adorable.

She rolled her eyes.

She ran her fingers along the scars on her arms. “And dark. You only see light when they come.”

“Okay. Just… let me know.” He hugged her tighter, then let go, keeping hold of her hand. “Let’s go.” 

The crab miraculously became immune to air. Happy, he scuttled back into Tam’s hair. 

Just now, _Null_ said:

"Doubt it. I just feel like I moved from one test facility to another, and if that's the case then do your worst. Those doctors already took everything from me."

He side-eyed her, trying not to acknowledge her, and keep to himself. The memories are haunting him. they always will. 

“I’m sorry,” the girl whispered.

He gave her an intense look before wandering off a bit to get some thinking room. Find a nice quiet corner to lay in. No people. No distractions

She didn’t really understand that expression, but the knot in her stomach eased a little.

Aden drove the jeep right through the  wall. It fuzzed into blue particles as they passed, and then they were suddenly swarmed by medical teams with stretchers. 

“Sir, do you feel well enough to walk?” A doctor asked Starlight. 

The girl’s eyes widened and she curled tighter.

They got back to the cabin after a bit, and Bat opened the door for her. 

 

Aden drove the jeep right through the  wall. It fuzzed into blue particles as they passed, and then they were suddenly swarmed by medical teams with stretchers. 

“Sir, do you feel well enough to walk?” A doctor asked Starlight. 

The girl’s eyes widened and she curled tighter.

"I can handle myself, thank you." he said as he was actively falling to the ground

The doctor chuckled and caught him, hoisting him onto the stretcher. “We’ll get you fixed right up.”

he tried to fight the doctor off, but tore more stitches and started bleeding more. "Fantastic, Ok. You can help me this one time." he said as he was being carried off

She walked inside and to her room, then sat on the bed, staring at her bare feet.

She realized absently that she'd left her other items of clothing by the pond, and that she was still wet.

But who cared, really.

"Whoa, hey, everyone back up a little," Irie directed the personnel.

He’d wake up an hour or so later in a pleasant room without any memory of being sedated. Aden sat nearby with a book.

She walked inside and to her room, then sat on the bed, staring at her bare feet.

She realized absently that she's left her other items of clothing by the pond, and that she was still wet.

But who cared, really.

She hesitated, swallowed hard, and nodded. 

“Don’t touch me.”

The head of the second team poked his head in.

"Hey, so-"

"Wait," Irie cut him off, turning back to the girl.

"We won't right now, but if you're hurt, we need to know so we can help, okay? Are you bleeding anywhere? Does anything hurt?"

Starlight, being sedated, was in deep dream, which does cause an issue. Sedation triggers dream demons and night terrors. As he lies there in the bed, he stars screaming and swatting at the air, screaming at someone (or something?) that wasn't there

They rarely do tandem stuff right now, but now and then they do 

She stumbled out into the hallway, took a deep breath, and broke into a shaky run. 

No prob

"I guess that's fair." he said quietly. "But still... thank you." he smiled at her and closed his eyes.

The prisoner in the seat behind suddenly started yelling. "You're back for me! Why? Why torture me more?!"
