Cricket had gone deep into the woods, walking fast. He was hurling knives into a tree some twenty feet away methodically, ripping them out and throwing them savagely.

It’s the last one I still have to offer, though I think I can rig up a ret-con if needed.” He teleports a blade to his hand, then presents it to Bacon. “This blade is Exposition; I want you to have it. It should allow you to know things that need explaining, which can help with your memory loss for the time being. And if you cut someone with it, they learn many things. That includes some truths most people aren’t cut out to know, so I’d be careful not to reveal the truth of reality when there are too many people around.”
