The Scribe found it a terrible coincidence that Freedom was being called a wall, so he teleported Madness (a.k.a. Freedom) in front of their party. However, since Madness could only affect The Scribe’s characters, they couldn’t see her. He made a body for her, and allowed her to control it for the funzies.

Yes, but she don’t have any of her powers (thankfully), so she’s just.. there.

(by the way, it’s pronounced Cay-see. I’ve only had the name dictated to me by Mirth enthusiasts [I may or may not have shown my Mirth story to them, and they… embellished…], so I’m not really sure how to spell it.)

Madness looked at him. “Why would that matter?”

The Scribe thought a no power Madness was boring, so he gave her  illusion powers. Only one sense, instead of the six senses the Notblade affords Bat.

Madness extends a hand. “Does that matter?” She asks lightheartedly. A complex construct appeared above her hand, and it highlighted two lines in the construct. Madness frowned. “I guess it does.”

Pyk would know how to create them, though. Because he had a hand in developing them.

 I know that the Adari is what creates Mystics, because they have an unnaturally high amount of it. It would make sense that something in the body is cancelling it out… If so, I’m guessing this is it. Adari is focused on logic and insight. The power it grants has the potential to be very useful, but if one does not have insight on its effects, depending on what one does, it can be very destructive. This other one… I know nothing of what it might be. It seems as if it acts independently of one’s will - the Adari usually doesn’t do this… although it did when it was contending against these strands.
