The walls around him rippled as he introspected, reflecting his thoughts back at him like the greatest whiteboard ever invented.

"Hm," said Bacon. "I too, hate it when I have emotions that I don't understand. Emotions can be such troublesome things sometimes."

"Well, how am I suppose to defend you if you don't want to be defended?" asked Selppaenip desperately.

"Meaning is like salt," said Bacon. "A touch is delicious, but too much and the whole dish is unpalatable."

I wrote it out in tLPW on accident

Tenth had realized something. He, well he wanted to help people. But how to help himself... he had always found an interest in the design of the technology he was testing.

 Charles? I have found something...

Asher looked to pyk. "I'm not gonna be much help unless magic fire and fancy knife skills can kill these guys." you need some help with your confidence. Major help. I agree with cade on this one. Silver tell asher that they need help with confidence. They don't believe me. because it's not my confidence. Im actually bad at stuff so there.

[No! Your fire can help! I'm adding a modification to your suit... THERE! Your fire, when sent through the suit, will distribute Adari now.]

Dint looked at them. "Well, I think you can be useful. Fire might help distribute it!"

Lady Bug waited eagerly for Bacon's response. She felt desperate for some reason.

She frowned. "No, where..." she trailed off, then reached up to touch her face. "Oh," she breathed. "Oh, this is... this is..."

"Alva," Hidel pleaded.

"You killed my daughter!" She snarled. "You... I don't even have words!"

Hidel went quiet.

Shoe sighed, slightly relieved. That'd been much easier than he'd initially planned on. He took his ax back from Hacob angrily.

My name is Shoe; your daughter and I . . . we've been traveling together for a while.

I was with her when . . . I was with her because Hidal invited her to come home, and she wanted me to come with her. But when she went to see him, he stabbed her with this strange knife, and now . . . he gestured to her and the soul.

"Well, do we know where any other monsters may be?" Pyk asked.

"Why don't we just walk 'round until we find some!"

The Great Wizard made a halfhearted attempt at an upside-down shrug. Before he could make any other response, the door to the dark room opened, light pouring in. "Er, lawyer? A witness wants to talk to you. And to the Great Wizard. Is that all right?"

"Yes, I suppose," said Selppaenip, somewhat distractedly.

I like tech. I like taking it apart and I like to create improvements. This, I think, is what I would do if I were not under servitude to Wriulin.

There were tears in her eyes. She turned to her husband. "Hidel... what did you do?"

"I can't do it without you," he whispered. "Alva, please."

"No. No. You've made it abundantly clear that you're not the man I knew." She shook her head. "I can't believe... You said you used the spirits, but this..."

"Alva..." After a long moment, he turned away. "I'm sorry."

"Come on," she told Shoe, and walked out the door he'd chopped down. She moved very differently than Beosta, which looked... strange, to say the least.

Lady Bug was disappointed. She scuffed over a pile of sand with her shoe.

Hacob smiled. Then he did a small feint towards Gaioh. For the funsies.

Well, if you aren't going to kill Sain, I guess he is joining your party for now...

Sain looked at them, and then sighed. "I have it under control, now. It won't get away from me again."

He wove an armor of Strands around himself, encased in glowing golden tendrils. so there, haly. He held out a hand and a large spear made of the Strands. "I'm ready for whatever we are facing." He looked skeptically to Hidel.

sorry I'm late. Got distracted.

Asher nods and started walking in a random direction. Just wanting some zombies to kill. And they also probably went in the wrong direction.

If Livetha's on his shoulders and the soul's in his pocket, and he sets the ax down

Then he has two free hands to write that :P

there is no wrong direction when zombies are involved

Soon, they ran into a zombie frantically tearing at the defenses of an official looking building.
