"But... they will execute you!"

The Great Wizard hung in silence for a time. "...Maybe that is what I deserve."

"Yes, that would be excellent. I'd love to speak to the defendant too, if possible."

"Well, they are in conference at the moment. Perhaps you could join them there?"

Lady Bug didn't understand. "What do you mean? We shape the entire world." She threw her arms out, and trees sprouted as far as the eye could see, then turned to sand, fell apart, and evaporated. "So what if we're made of words?"

"We don't shape the world, we shape words." Subversion sighed. "Look, just... believe what you want. I'm glad you're happy, but I am not. Alright?"

but the squirrel loves Bat

And Bat's annoying

And he poisoned Shoe

well, Hacob doesn't really care for Shoe one way or the other, so he doesn't care. You act as though Hacob has morals.

Even your own characters hate Bat

I love this this is a whole thing :P

Shoe opened the door and stepped through.

They followed.

They stepped out into a field of grass with a barn and a farmhouse in the distance. A town could be seen down the road, looking very small. Shoe would recognize it from her memories, but it appeared quite more run down.

"Is this her house?" Gaioh asked.

Hacob appeared and followed.

I will love Bat and no one can stop me

Bat, who was the closest to Hacob, jumped.

“So its someone from your world?” They hoped they remembered that right. They observed the man more making sure to note any and all characteristics.

There is only one other Yeran character of mine...

Pyk did not notice it. "Dint?" He hits the Husk with a Cast, encasing it.

Shoe didn't want to give Beosta's father any more time to complete whatever he was planning, so he put Livetha on his shoulders and took off towards the farmhouse.

"Hi Bat!"

Hacob also recognized it. Being a Narrator was quite helpful.

It would be even more helpful if I actually read posts :P

She smiled innocently at Kion, “It’s not my fault you called me omnipresent. How am I supposed to take that other than I’m so large?”

“I still mean that Narrators in general feel like they’re everywhere - that they appear and do things at every moment. The frivolous ones, especially; they don’t even use their incredible magic to help others! No, they use it make sandwich conga lines and turn people’s feet to fish.” Kion calms himself down. “How do you do this, turning words around so well?”

A Hacob appeared. "Well, who would we help? Have you seen any homeless people, any starving people, any suffering people? Who are you to say that we haven't already helped them!"

they are on good terms...

Silver seems shocked. [Yes... but I thought he was dead...]

Dint looked at Pyk. "Pyk... it's you!" He stepped over and hugged Pyk. "I'm so glad to see you!"

Pyk was at a loss for words. "You died!"

“I know you do help people, but that makes me feel almost worse. I shouldn’t, but the Narrators being able to help everyone, then spending their magic on whatever they want? That’s contrary to everything I know. Where I’m from, you don’t use magic frivolously. Period. It literally hastens your death and potentially that of others. So to see Narrators doing whatever they want? It makes me feel that they’re incredibly irresponsible and treat lives as cheap. That they also legitimately have reason to be the way they are, and do create benefit for society? That makes me feel worse - jealous, useless, and judgmental all at once.”

"The Dragonlands were rich in Adari. So when Kintlen executed me... I just... didn't die. But by the time I regained use of my body, he had already shipped me to the other side of the planet. I think Vera may have suspected, but she never found any lasting evidence."

He saw Asher. "Who is this?"

"Well, to be fair, we are (generally) everything you just described us as. Irresponsible? Yep! Treat lives as cheap? Remind me to tell you about Nameless sometime. Would you prefer we don't use Narration?"
