what happened with tenth again?

Classic home world trauma!

Sequence snorted in laughter, also causing her to stumble a bit, and subsequently trip on her dress and nearly fall over. She held on to Unintelligible heavily, laughing hysterically. “Oh goodness gracious-“

Unintelligible's right foot chose this moment to find an obstruction in the perfectly flat floor Sequence had created, and he went crashing to the ground in a heap.

"Whoa," remarked Nogard. "That sounds... confusing. How did it feel?"

"Well, it was confusing." Subversion got a distant look in her eyes as she recalled being split. "It was fun for some of my aspects, but horrible for others. In the end, when I was reformed into one being again, I was left... changed. I didn't gain any new perspective on life, but I did explore the perspectives that I'd discounted before." She shrugged. "You wouldn't have liked me before that happened. To be frank, I was a horrible person."

"I am not called the Avenger for nothing. The Skavi are tortured, forced to work fourteen hours a day, fight in meaningless wars for entertainment. I, myself, was lashed endlessly for decades, till my blood ran dry, as punishment. If they will it, you cannot die, only feel pain. So I never died, though a river of blood ran beneath. They are monsters."

Moni considered Perseus's words for an interminable moment. Finally, she sighed. "I'll help you. On one condition. I'm not just going to hand you Endings and trust that you'll use it wisely. I'm coming with you." She turned and walked back into her room. "Give me a minute to pack my bag." Can't believe I'm letting myself get dragged into another quest like this.

She nodded, then paused for a moment. “… Why does your allegiance still fall with this government? I’m not judging you, to be clear. I know that things can get… complicated. Does it have something to do with this Enuller you speak of?”

“Not all of the government is evil. Just the head… I am usually just a scientist. But the people there… they aren’t bad. Just Kintlen.”

Perseus smiled. "Excellent! I will need Endings briefly, though, in order to get the gods' attention. You'll be near me, then."

“Oh my- Oh!-“ Sequence exclaimed as she, now with her only support gone, fell to the ground as well. She couldn’t help but continue to giggle uncontrollably as she slowly propped herself up beside Unintelligible. “Unintelligible! Oh my gosh- Are you okay?” She said between fits of laughter.

"Fine." Moni emerged from her room, a pack slung over her shoulder. "I'll warn you though, Endings is bonded to me. If you teleport away, I can just summon it back. The only way to break the bond would be to kill me." With that, she drew forth the Blade of Endings, the Blade whose power gave even Platypus pause, and proffered it to Perseus. It was a rusted dagger that looked as if it would turn into dust if he so much as breathed on it. The only danger it looked like it would pose to anyone was tetanus, and that was barely a risk at all if the edge was as dull as it looked.

Asher took another deep breath. "I dont care make the memories stop. I dont want to remember them! I tried to forget it. I cant remember it. It hurts bacon! I should have done something! I should have saved them!" Asher said slightly louder. "Bacon I don't want to remember my family"

"Alrighty then. As you request."

Bacon played a mournful tune on a flute, and Asher felt a wall spring up around her memories.

The blade rotated in midair to “face” the woman. A sky blue gemstone was inset in the middle of the flat of the blade.

”I didn’t see you come in.” It mused. When it spoke, the slight glow around it pulsed, and a soft, electric hum accompanied its voice.

THIS IS SO STORMING ADORABLE OH MY GOOGNESS

That's hardly unusual, the woman pointed out. People arrived in arbitrary locations all over. One could hardly have been expected to catch them all.

what happened with tenth again?

Speaking of which, an Ennuller would probably have been sent along with that Nullite reimbursement to audit their operation.

Tenth was maybe erasing the sphere, depending on his determination levels.

“Well, the world you stand on now is not on any star maps that ever have existed, or ever will, if that’s significant.” She gestured up at the night sky, which was… Unfamiliar, to say the least. Aside from the various unfamiliar moons visible, there was something odd about the stars. While in some places, they were normal and speckled in the sky as you’d expect, other places were completely devoid of stars, instead replaced by massive expanses of pure blackness. In other places, some stars seemed to be arranged in perfectly symmetrical circular and spiral patterns.

Perseus accepted the blade, shivering knowing the power he held. "This is it. Endings. I will bear it well, Moni. I will warn you. The path we must take is unlike any you've sought before. Its peril is beyond any other. I seek to cleanse Ragnorok, a hell. That means driving out every last demon, avenging every last suffering Skavi. Will you see this through?"
