NameIess Posted November 17, 2024 Posted November 17, 2024 19 minutes ago, Immortal Platypus said: "No, I keep my hair at home. Have you ever seen a Platypus with hair? I wear the rat's nest so people like you don't get too uncomfortable away from your home." Subversion snorted. "Is that supposed to be insulting? Rats are very nice creatures." 19 minutes ago, Immortal Platypus said: "So... you're checking up on them because they're not injured so you can treat them if they are?" Hacob followed the adventurer's eyes to his wound. "Oh, I'll be fine." The wound disappeared. "If anyone asks, you guys fixed that, alright?" "Uh... sure." The medical adventurer walked away very confused. 19 minutes ago, Immortal Platypus said: "I still don't think you are." "I just prophesied. So I am one." 19 minutes ago, Immortal Platypus said: Platypus overheard her saying this. "How on earth will I deal with two self-centered Narrators around here?" he muttered under his breath as he was coming over. "Not the end of the world as we know it. The end of the Thread. Imagine the power to reshape reality released upon the rest of the world." He shuddered, his Ordered nature kicking in. "The Plotblades unleashed upon the world, everyone besides the wielder dead, and the universe only a void. But by all means, leave. It will make my job easier." I won't have to babysit another fool that doesn't understand the true consequences of these Blades in the wrong hand. It was a very good thing Platypus was an expert at shielding his thoughts. "You think I don't understand the stakes?" Subversion laughed. "Please. I've seen one of the Plotblades. I know just as well as you what will happen if they're claimed." 12 minutes ago, LessName said: Faunus paused, more than willing to test this theory. “I don’t have sand in my hair.” She stated, very firmly. And just as she had said, the sand in her hair was gone. Suddenly, her lips curled up into a rather wicked smirk, “Subversion is wearing a very pink dress, it’s long and flowing, getting caught in the sand.” Surprise crossed Subversion's face as the dress appeared. It was gone in an instant, along with the dress, appearing on Platypus instead. 12 minutes ago, LessName said: She shot him a glare, “Only two self-centered Narrators? Surely Subversion counts as two, and you alone maybe three.” Then she sighed, once he started his speech, and decided very wisely to ignore him. Subversion laughed. "You know, I think maybe we got off on the wrong foot. You're not so bad now that you're insulting Platypus." 6 minutes ago, xinoehp512 said: Nogard froze. He'd definitely taken a wrong turn. But his curiosity was piqued. He slunk forward, straining to hear the rest of the conversation. In the dim light of the corridor, Nogard could see two figures whispering to each other some distance ahead. "He means to reveal the Blade's identity in the trial! What's stopping anyone with enough power from just claiming them there and then? I mean, surely some Narrator will do so." "He says he has something that will prevent that. An edge, he calls it, that will prevent such inconvenient possibilities. I hear that it's a-" The second figure paused, then leaned in closer and whispered the next part too low for Nogard to hear.

Can't be late for the strategy meeting." The second figure pulled a torch on the wall, opening a secret passage in the corridor that stayed open just long enough for both of them to step through.

Platypus laughed as the dress fell to the ground around him, burning. It was quite the wrong shape for him, and teleportation tended to lead to lots of friction when one wasn't prepared for it. It was also now no longer pink, and instead a nice green color. As it burned, the flames changed colors, casting flickering light of all shades. In its light, Platypus no longer looked nice, and relatively non-threatening as he normally did. There was a darker shade to his eyes, and they glinted ominously. His laugh seemed a little more... unnerving as the crackling of the fire warped with it. Quote Subversion laughed. "You know, I think maybe we got off on the wrong foot. You're not so bad now that you're insulting Platypus." Quote Faunus wiped a tear from her eye, smiling up at the other woman. “You’re no so bad yourself.” Platypus really didn't care. This time, he kept his thoughts carefully guarded. If someone tried to read his mind, they'd regret it. Spoiler Glad I could unify people.
