The band flashed, and suddenly Salem appeared next to Tam and Bat.

“A man. I need to keep track of him.” He added a Cast, stopping his voice from reaching the crowd. He followed them into the operation room.

The Ennuller stood in front of him, blocking his path. You speak of the new recruit? Do not worry about him. He is in our care, now.

What are you going to do?

The door was stuck.

I am going to stand here and stabilize your core. explained the man. Someone else is going to take a deeper dive and try to excise that contaminant.

Another Ennuller entered the room, surveying Tenth up and down.

That was pretty much a lie, she knew. “Well… it doesn’t matter, anyway.”

Pyk nodded. This made sense. “The newest ones have an AI to interpret you thoughts; they should be intuitive. And, well, I’m making a specialty suit. I may be able to make one that allows fire if the regular ones don’t.”

He entered, the door opening up to a slightly cluttered room. In the corner, a husk one of the major Withergeists stood. He set his Mordite blade on a table, and placed his suit in the corner. Exiting, Pyk was a man of average height, with a strange contraption on his arm, and a cloth over his eyes. At the edges of the cloth, an acid burn was visible. He reached his hand behind him, searching for a minute, until he picked a small camera off the suit and placed it onto his eyes.

Asher walked in surveying the area. and hummed softly. They looked at pyk then the contraption briefly noting the eye scar. They walked over. Asher knew a lot of people didnt like their way of looking at people. Like they were analyzing them. In fact many people said that Asher treated others like they were robots, or just mere science experiments. Asher knew they thought like this but didnt care. People didnt make sense to Asher and they just wanted to figure people out. So Asher did what they always did. Inspected. Asher looked at the contraption on his arm. They had already passed the scar off as an acid burn and they knew they didnt like talking of their scars so they didnt ask about pyks. “What an interesting thing you are wearing” Asher asked while looking it over trying to figure out its purpose. They switched to looking at his camera he had put on. “This one to”

The Silent Hero stubbornly refused to be located, but the Valiant One stalked towards Platypus. "No time for a trial? No time for justice?" His eyes burned with anger. "The Great Wizard was allowed to come. Yes, the Brave Adventurer tried to keep him in the dark about the meeting. But informed him. Because like the fool I was I assumed he'd come defend himself. Instead, he sent spies who disrupted the meeting and attacked us. The Brave Adventurer has it out for him, I'll admit that. But the hard evidence he presented, and more pressingly the evidence presented by the Wise Scholar, demand an explanation. Since the Great Wizard refuses to give that explanation, we will capture him and bring him to trial. And you will not stop us from seeing justice done."

"Was I unclear in my statement?" he asked furiously. "He didn't send any of those spies. At least on of them was one of my servants who was supposed to be on a vacation, but ended up through a portal on Hawaii. I traced the cause of the portal, and it wasn't the Great Wizard's." He paused for a second. "Speaking of which, have you seen him? He was a squirrel. He looked... like a squirrel." He shook his head, launching back into his argument. "What hard evidence? The letters from the Dreamsmith? The Dreamsmith himself has discussed those letters with me. But all of this doesn't matter."

He took a deep breath, preparing to get the important message through the Valiant One's stupid, stubborn, thick skull.

"THE THREAD WILL LITERALLY END IF YOU CAN'T PUT ASIDE YOUR THRICE-BLASTED PRIDE AND WORK TO STOP IT!! I DON'T CARE IF THERE IS A TRIAL, BUT IT CAN ONLY HAPPEN AFTER THE THREAD IS SAVED!"

The ash-covered rabbits leapt for Hacob's throat, swarming from all sides. [Kill him before the great one chains us again!]

Hacob flipped, kicking rabbits as they passed over him with his steel-toed shoes. Then he went subtly, but quickly, in towards TP.

Hacob was very confused. He had made this volcano. How had the Brave Adventurers gotten into it already? Oh well. Hopefully the Great Wizard would sense the rabbits before they got too far away.

Either they were taking him seriously or being mad at him, or they weren't taking him seriously and they were laughing at him. That was okay. He was used to that.

don't take Bat personally. He's just very uh depressing of a character I guess :P

"Easy, there, Beosta," said Bacon gently. "You don't want to spend too much time in close contact with the forces of darkness and destruction. That will make you really crazy."

"But, my John-!" said the woman, close to tears. "You have to help him!"

The John in question was sitting alone in his cage, smiling faintly.

A wave of pain crammed itself into her brain like tightly packed cotton, nearly making her lose focus.
