Can't Livetha just... seal it?

She probably could. But she didn’t think of that. She doesn’t know a lot about narration. Plus then they’d be fugitives :P

Oh. What happens if you don't Seal the bond?

It falls apart. And we don’t get a Familiar.

Oh. That's really sad. He looked her in the eyes. What would happen to you if you didn't get it? What would happen to Livetha?

She felt kind of cornered by that gaze somehow. We’d both be fine. Just… not bonded. Less strong. Less capable. Parts of me that are like her wouldn’t exist anymore.

bye for work

Farewell

Oh. So not completely without each other, then. Just . . . a little bit more distant.

"He's mad at Nogard because of the curse. But I guess that's over with, now that Tull broke the curse."

{Who are these people you are talking about?} asked TP.

{They were travelling with us for a time. Tull was a Narrator, I think Nogard had a cool weapon, and Erif could teleport.}

{Were they in one of the groups that teleported away?}

{You know, your group hasn't done a very good job of sticking together.}

"Yes..." said Bacon the Bard. "The only question is where 'here' is."

"Yeah... where are we?"

The man met Platyus's eyes and smiled. "You're as arrogant as Nameless was. But this battle will end the same for you as it did for him." He swung his Blade for Platypus's head, and in that frozen moment Platypus recognized the Plotblade: Endings.

Well son of an ever loving scudding spark. Who let him have that? And how'd he get it out of dagger form? All these thoughts flashed through Platypus' mind as the Blade slowly descended toward him. Time moved at a crawl, then slowed further to a perfect stop. The field around turned green and the blood stains disappeared as light from the Luxblade landed on them. Then time started again at the right speed, and Platypus rolled, dodging the Blade and spreading the Light.

The General's countless eyes took in the change in scenery instantly. "Choosing your battlefield? I suppose this means the gloves are off Narrationwise. I was beginning to think you'd let me hold the upper hand forever."

Did Hacob shift everyone or just the General and those fighting her?

just himself, the General, and Zanitar. I believe I said that in Zanitar's POV.

Hacob chuckled. "That wasn't Narration. Just a trick I learned along the way."

Zanitar attacked from behind, slashing quickly.

They noticed that when they touched her or any of her items, they turned Red.

you should totally End Endings, Platypus.

that's... a little trickier than that. Very few people would possess the power to destroy a Plotblade

Bacon looked around. There was no one else. There was nothing else. Only an empty void.

"Not a very nice looking place, I have to say. I can't imagine you meant to end up here."

"Calm down, calm down!" said Bacon hurriedly. "Here, let's pop back into reality-"

They appeared at the top of a very windy skyscraper.

"Better?" asked Bacon.

Yeah, she lied. It wasn’t his problem.

Still, her pen hovered over the page.

Then she set it down and gave him a reassuring smile.

"Yes," said Nogard, reaching to remove the mask on Subversion's face to better assess the damage. "We're safe, for now."

The mask lifted to reveal a mass of bruises that was barely recognizable as a face. Subversion's nose was broken in three places, and her left eye was swelled shut. More than half her teeth were gone as well. "How bad is it?"

The intruder remained silent, but his gaze was locked on Selppaenip.

"Apprentice! Watch yourself. That is the Silent Hero, the most deadly member of the Council of Brave Adventurers." ...'s voice was almost a whisper, but the Silent Hero's eyes swiveled in his direction immediately, piercing through the normalcy field in an instant. "Apprentice, he has the unique ability to channel the spirit of past heroes. You will not best him in battle."

The figure's Blade slammed into the ground. Where the Blade had struck, a wave of nothingness, of Endings, began to spread. The figure laughed. "Do you yet feel bravery? Do you yet trust in hope? Come, defeat me, take Vengeance for all those I have slain."

--

The General blocked Zanitar's attack with ease due to the eyes in the back of her head. "Narrator, I appeal to you. Why do you shield these people? Do you have some design that involves their continued freedom? Would it not make for a better story if just a few of them were captured?"

Also, it would be hard to destroy Endings by attacking a version of it that's not really real.

"SERIOUSLY WHO ARE YOU AND HOW DID YOU GET HERE." The OA says in distress. No one, no one should have access to this pocket dimesion.
