Blue quickly got bored, so he approached Sasha’s rabbit.

I know! You should join the cult, Glass.

Sasha looked up, a little surprised, then smiled timidly. “Hi.”

"Oh! Well in that case, I'll leave you to it!" Sequence leaned in close and whispered, "I don't do well with blood." And with that, she clapped her hands together and she, Fuzzy, the chairs, and the coffee table all vanished in a puff of snowflakes, which settled in the snow of the mountain.

She hugged him carefully.

Wow. Humans were a lot warmer than she'd realized. You could almost feel them living.

"Sorry," she said again. "I'll stop doing that."

Humans? Is Beosta not human . . . ?

Shoe nodded, still not looking at her.

The bunny turned Sasha Blue, then Green, then cycled.

”Hello, human. It is I, the Lord of the Colour Blue.” He stared at the ghost bunny. “I knew not that there was a Lord of the Colour Transparent.”

Gail didn’t like being alone.

No, she’s human.

She let go and stepped back. She should probably give him space now, right?

She pulled a pen out of her pocket and wrote on the inside of her right wrist so she’d see it if she lost her voice again. Stop interrogating Shoe.

Tull finished the book

@xinoehp512

Strangely enough, the book resisted attempts to increase the speed at which it was read through Narration. Almost as if the author wasn't finished writing it yet and wasn't prepared for people to read it.

Nearish to the end of the book, however, was a story about Nogard and Erif's homeland and exactly what had happened to it.

Unfortunately the author hadn't come up with a succinct summary for all of the events, so :P you'll just have to do with a high-level description for now. And also it's secret until I can do a coolish reveal.

Sequence summoned Conflict in her hand, now in her cabin on Sequence's Planet. She looked at it, rather startled. It hadn't really done something like that before... "Hey Willow, you don't happen to know what Conflict is saying, do you? Since like... you're also a magical weapon?" Sequence's question was directed to a white bladed, pale blue hilted knife of sorts, which sat on an ornate pedestal, which sat in a terrarium, which sat on another ornate pedestal. The knife glowed softly and made a sort of humming noise before answering. "... No."

Livetha jumped up on Beosta's shoulders and scolded her with her chitters.

"Hush," Beosta told her. "The scud is your problem with him, anyway? Stop making me do stuff."

[I like him,] Livetha thought at her. [He's a good human. He saved you.]

"Yeah, I know that. Why don't you just give him your own Narrated cloaks, then?"

Livetha was quiet for a second. Then she drew herself up imperiously. [Don't want lonely Beosta. Beosta needs... friend.]

"I'm fine on my own, you stupid stoat!"

She did have to admit it was nice to have someone to talk to. And hug. Even if it was her fault he was sad.

Livetha caught this thought and snickered at her.

Awwww cute

Shoe walked until he couldn't see or hear anyone else, then slid to the ground against a tree.

It had been so long since he'd talked about . . . It'd been so long since he'd talked at all . . . He hadn't even said anything in reply about it, but just having someone else bring it up . . .

Despair welled up inside Shoe with renewed force.

He sobbed quietly, feeling truly alone for the first time in a while.

"No," Beosta told her flatly. "I'm giving him his freaking space. You can go talk to him."

Livetha took away her voice, then turned her hair a very ugly shade of green.

I said no.

Livetha, the scudding little meddler, teleported both Beosta and Shoe to an alleyway.

The town outside the alleyway was bright and busy, but all the people had... white skin. Actual white. Paper white.

They did'n't notice them.

Beosta got to her feet, gritting her teeth, and grabbed for the stoat. Livetha skittered away.
