"Is there really no way to make amends?"

"I don't know. Certainly not while he thinks me a traitor to the Order."

Nogard laughed ruefully to himself. I guess I deserve that.

"My older brother Erif, I guess," he said in answer to Subversion's question. "He was always so focused, so determined. Do you have any siblings?"

Subversion blinked. Stupid. Can't just copy whatever he says"Siblings? I suppose you could say that I used to have some." No! Why did I say that? Now he's going to ask more questions. brushing dark hair out of her face to hide her consternation, Subversion grabbed for straws. "Your brother and you don't seem to get along very well. He seems much more... confident, I suppose, than you are."

12 minutes ago, Immortal Platypus said:

"Can you send me to the Dreamsmith or, more likely, Omen? You said you're good at teleportation."

"I-I don't know where they are. Please, just let me live."

12 minutes ago, Immortal Platypus said:

so is Hacob.

Yes, but I don't believe we ever canonically established that they are standing on either side of Nogard, and even if they are, Subversion is fully capable of walking in between Hacob and Nogard in order to show her disdain.

Used to? Nogard wondered but didn't ask.

"Yeah," he agreed. "I feel like he always knows what he's doing and where he's going. And I... well, I don't. Not always." He met Subversion's eyes. Those deep, gray, beautiful eyes. "But right now... I think I do."

Beosta sat next to him. She hadn’t realized it was a sore topic.

Shoe sighed and pointedly avoided looking at anyone else. Especially Beotha.

He listened to everyone else talk with mild interest.

*grumbles* can't even leave for an hour anymore . . . *grr*

I think I follow that far, but are they connecting to things outside of TLT? And what does it mean that the copies would just replace things over and over again?

"Well, we were thinking of asking the Valiant One to join us in our quest."

Making luxite requires more than just light and order together, though. The Ennullers wish it were that easy :P

Nogard dutifully recounted the words that the Great Wizard had shared.

"It seems only right to call it a prophecy, even if it isn't exactly a traditional one." he added. "Important quests are supposed to have prophecies, right?"

Do you know what a sanitized copy is? It’s used because it has no connection to the original, so whatever happens to it doesn’t happen to the original. There is no connection to the outside, but they are based on the outside, yes? And the replacement is (sad) no longer possible, if there is no connection. (I assume ur talking of the Archstone)

Beosta grew bored of this and stole back the pad to draw spirals.

I know… and forgets six T_T

"Alright. I swear, if I come back here, I will kill you, so you'd better pray whatever magic takes me here instead of to Omen stops working. Pick a god, and start praying."

Platypus left him, and travelled to where he had known others met Omen many pages ago.

It doesn't matter enough to debate about it. We can go with what you're saying, as it works fine. All Hacob is doing is being confused :P

Shoe purposefully ignored her.

How would we even begin looking for the Plotblades? he thought at The Great Wizard.

Am I crazy and we already discussed how to find them?

The Great Wizard prophesied that certain people might claim one of the two Blades in question. The current plan is to watch carefully for that to happen, then claim the Blade.

"I doubt he'd listen to us," someone pointed out. "We did storm their meeting."

Nogard winced. "Oh, yeah. Well... I guess that just leaves the Dreamsmith. Would he be willing to help us?"

Jilu spoke. “We could just kidnap the BA.”

Ohhhhh

So

What I got from that was that we should just adventure around with all the potential bearers and wait for something to happen?

Beosta disliked being ignored. She pushed the plan-beast aside and handed back the pad.

How about you ask me a question, I’ll answer it, and we’re even?

More or less, though I imagine we'll be a little more intentional than that :P

TP, displeased at being pushed aside, huffed out a steam of fire that narrowly missed the pad.

Tull stood up. “I, for one, would prefer the Dreamsmith.”

eh I just wanted to say the idea for its absurdity.

I do have the final project that Beosta and Gail need to do, so we could go with that

Thanks for the lore explanation, all y’all!

”He won’t stop being attacked until he acknowledges Intellect, but this will help clear his mind.”

Hang on. I have it. I’m going to try to break her connection to this world. Intellect paused, and all who had been attacked by Madness except Tull and Berin were freed from her influence. But it failed to make a difference. Intellect swore, and then reinspected his work. He froze. Oh no. His voice grew smaller. A sanitized copy… that’s why it didn’t work. I guess I need to be more careful.

This is Intellect realizing that Madness is not actually invading, and that I (his author, of course) just copied him over.

Erif frowned. "So do we need to go on a quest to defeat Madness or not?"

TP attempted to take a bite out of the pad.

"No, TP," chided Selppaenip. "We just ate, remember?"

Ista shook her head. “It is not as urgent, now. Madness is still dangerous, but not nearly as dangerous as before.”
