Inside the library, the party could see a figure inside, moving at insane speeds, barely a blur. It stopped, and it could be seen that it had ten long, blade-like arms, and an enlongated head, absent of eyes, and long sharp teeth. Tull immediately fainted.
you guys can (temporarily) take my blades.

Erif ran in, scanning the bookshelves for the book he was looking for.

I guess he'll wander in again.

Nogard saw a man he may have seen before, average-looking but holding up a metal staff that must have been very heavy.

"Hey, Sandy!" called Nogard. "Have you come to join our quest to save the world?"

Shoe hit the monster dead on.

Qodi could feel that there was something different about her, but she couldn’t tell what. She could tell it was transferred by bite, though.

The speedy rabbit went to bite the monster as soon as Shoe finishes swinging.

The monster stops its speedy travel, having barely been nicked by the blade. It started coughing, and an ugly purple color rose from the veins neares the hit.

When Qodi but it, Qodi could sense a question. A question of… Intent.

Erif leaped to his feet and peeked inside.

"So you think this Great Wizard was framed?"

"Eh. I think there is a good chance he's not quite as guilty as BA is making him out to be. Something is off about him."

Nogard made a thoughtful face. "Either way, we should probably try to find out more about him."

Sensing her wish to harm the beast, the plotblade within her set a dreadful curse. The beast started to slowly wither away, shrinking in size and nourishment with every second.

Qodi released the beast.

So that’s how this works.

Metal?

She raised her head and sniffed for metal.

here is your Mistborn
Tull nodded. “My thanks. I will give you this.” He handed Shoe a nugget of lerasium. “Eat it, and you will gain powers like that of Erif’s.”

That was the twist. I have enough lerasium to just hand it out.

Tull stared at the bite marks, then at Qodi. “Did you… eat… the blade? What did it do?”

He quickly ate it and burned the metal.

He suddenly felt very powerful, and ran off to find some more metal he could eat.

"So," he asked. "What's up with the staff?"

Erif shrugged. "I'm not sure. The oracle said it would help me somehow."

He put the volume away in his pocket. "Anyways. We should get out of here. This castle is creepy and probably cursed."

Yrank, who had been silent this whole time, simply stayed quiet and observed
