The Once Author did have lungs, and was using them. He did know a guy who dealt in the illegal trade of hamster organs though, so he hooked the two of them up.

The hamster corrected the OA. He didn't need any ordinary hamster lungs. He was looking for a specific kind of lungs. Lungs that were able to change reality.

Lungs of Narrators and Authors had limited Narration/Authordom. The hamster thought this was common knowledge.

Jilu threw one of her hairs in, then the grass, then the newts’ eyes, then the cloves. “Just the muffins now.”
