"Screaming won't work. But if you eat it, it will give you unimaginable power for a short time, enough power to kill Desolation." Subversion winked at Abalodor in a way that said "probably not a good idea to actually eat it."

"You'd obtain the power of an Enuller, similar to eating Lerasium." Subversion winked again, in a way that said "You'd probably die."

Desolation was indeed, NOT listening.

Which was good, because Subversion DEFINITELY didn't want him to overhear what she was saying.

Desolation was not listening but there was someone else who was listening. And they have eyes.

Fortunately Subversion had a PhD in winking, so only Abalodor could interpret her winks correctly.

Fortunately the third person roled a D101 on the perception check, and counteracted this move

Fortunately Subversion had bribed the DM with a bar of chocolate, so the DM 'accidentally' gave the third person incorrect interpretations of the winks.

Luckily there was a co-DM who was kind enough to give the correct interpretation of the winks

Unfortunately, the co-DM didn't know the real interpretation, so he couldn't give the correct interpretation no matter how kind he was.

Subversion's trying to trick Desolation into eating Nullite.

And they think he doesn't know what it is

Shh, it'll definitely work.

Although it is like trying to trap the person who is making the trap

Subversion checked her pocket again, then sighed. "Anyways Abalodor, you should probably try something more sophisticated than mental screaming to kill Desolation."

“Anyone else thought about dropping the bead in liquid desolation puddle?” The Once-Author said, pointing. “It’s eaten everything it’s touched so far.” He winked at the group in a way that meant “Everyone is winking so I guess I will too.”

Subversion shrugged in a way that said "He probably knows what Nullite would actually do and would spit it out, or at least disconnect that part of himself once the effects started."

The Once Author made a snail shadow puppet in a way that said “Okay, that makes sense.” Or maybe “Go away, rats take vents.”
