Platypus smiled. For once that dreadful occasion was coming in handy.

"From what I can tell, that's true. As one of the only people to have held Vengeance and a different Plotblade, Vengeance has more power than Analysis. It was fairly close, but... There was a distinct difference. And on the power level of these Blades... it's a lot of power to be noticeable. And yes. It should not have as much power as it does. No One would probably know more than I. He too has held Vengeance and Analysis as far as I'm aware. Vengeance is a powerful tool, but very limited in its uses."

The brave adventurer nods. “I agree. Vengeance is the most powerful in raw power, but that doesn’t make it all-powerful. Other blades could overcome it, in their respective realms of specialty.” Unless, he adds in his own thoughts, those other rumors I’ve heard are true.

"As one of you said before," Spook interrupted the affronted looking Shadow, "We could unite the blades of Plot again to fight the... the thing..." Spook shivered, thinking of what he'd seen in the Temple of Plot. It had not been a good experience, but it had brought some insight.

"Now this would require more thought. Because Plot hates us, especially me. We killed him. So he might even join the thing's side."

Platypus lets Vengeance dissolve. Then he sits down and tries to sense where No One is to pay him a visit.

No One appeared to be in the Ghanderflaffle Empire.

The brave adventurer rubs his chin thoughtfully. "Can we even unite them if we do decide to? Plot was killed quite thoroughly. I can't imagine it would be easy to undo, even if we did manage to gather all the Plotblades in one place."

"It wasn't that thorough," Platypus said, getting up. "All we did was take a vote and he died. Also, No One seems to be in the Ghanderflaffle Empire. He might be another useful ally if we can get to him."

This place could use a little chaos, thought Szeth. The plot had gotten a little to rigid for his taste, and he actually had to backread to figure out what was going on.

He used his Narrator powers to gather all the Plotblades, then dropped them in a lava pit.

Underneath the lava pit, Thaidakar picked up the plot blades one by one and set them on a table, "Interesting... very interesting..." Thaidakar used his Narration to ward the Plotblades and table from being narrated by other Narrators and sat down in a chair, gazing at the blades, "Now, this is quite something..."

"So... we bring all the Plotblades together and revive Plot, and then he's supposed to help us fight the 'thing' Spook keeps mentioning ominously?" Sequence asked.

Platypus wondered when the others had lifted the powers of their Plotblades. They should have known that Plotblades are inherently immune to negative Narration. Platypus materialized next to Thaidakar.

"What are we doing?"

Thaidakar watched the table, only acknowledging Platypus with his words, "Did you ever hold the full sword of Plot, Platypus?"

"I did not. I've held his sword, but never while he was alive."

"I or one of mine held it... it gets blurry after awhile. Spook and Mythos have two sides of my intent. Mythos became that after losing himself to my powers... it's an odd thing, Platypus. A very odd thing..." He had a sip of Root, "The sword is quite the thing. It is a thing that should not exist but in the hands of the one and only Plot. The thing that Spook knows is coming... I have a suspicion of what it is."

She sat down and started plotting planets.

"On the bright side, this should take less time."

"Make especially sure you get the orbits right. That's the most important thing."

"We could probably bring him back right now. We have most, if not all, the Blades, except mine, which I have. His power is concentrated in those Blades on the table. Most of the power in Vengeance was already there, so it wouldn't be absorbed. He'd use it after. Do you think we should? Or do you think that the thing is Plot-related. I'm newer, I'll defer to your wisdom."

Platypus pulled out a jug of Root and drank some.

"Have you not noticed the sudden fluctuation of plot? I believe that the thing coming, as a post said in the beginning, Plot is the ultimate enemy of TLT... I believe our enemy is Plot themself." Thaidakar had a sip of his Root.

If anyone is confused here, I brought in Plot back in December, so I should be able to do this.

"Plot sounds lame anyway." Everyone said from a set of monkeybars they were sitting on.

"Is Plot the enemy? I think he's more along the lines of an anti-hero. But even so, how could he have the power to destroy us? We have his power in the Blades. Unless... No. He couldn't have. Could he have... drained the power? Could this have been a ploy from him? How sure are we that we shouldn't have more power in these Blades?"

Platypus took a huge quaff from his jug.

"I have no idea. I'm fairly certain no scholars, scientists, historians, etc have been able to study his power. Plot could be far more powerful than we know." Thaidakar had a swig from a new bottle of Root. "Plot is someone we do not know a lot about, other than the Plotblades and the random bits of plot we've had."

Thaidakar nodded, "It could be absolutely anything. Whatever it is, we need to gather our allies. Or..." Something bizarre occurred in Thaidakar's head. "Or we could defeat Plot with an easy fix. Narration... chaotic narration. Narration without form or pattern. Otherwise known as Plot's enemy."

Subversion appeared next to Thaidakar, eyes glowing slightly more than usual. "Plot is dead and cannot return. Not while his power is splintered into the Plotblades. Your enemy is not him."

"That's because Thaidakar managed to come back, for a time at least. Apparently I didn't do a good job with his narration."
