But as it turned out, the cat was only quasi-dead.

An army of space monkeys took over all of TLT easily.

So the infinity machine was only partly broken, which raised the impossibility level high enough for the machine to complete its functions.

[NameIess]

This was the final kick that the Infinity Machine needed to activate fully. 

[Thaidakar the Ghostblood he/him]

Mythos began a rebellion against the space monkeys.

[NameIess]

The Infinity Machine's activation spread like a fire, radiant. It burned all before it to ash in a wave of uselessness, spreading throughout the thread.

[Thaidakar the Ghostblood he/him]

Mythos watched as All Before It was turned to ash.

[NameIess]

With its first task completed, the Infinity Machine whirred, moving on to its second function.

[Thaidakar the Ghostblood he/him]

The second function being to make the greatest hamburger ever.

But because of the cat, it made a hotdog.

[Ishikk]

Causing all people to die in grief.

The hotdog was passable, but certainly not amazing.

So, the machine tried again.

This was all according to Eof's master plan. Eof wanted to sell hotdogs to earn some cash.

[NameIess]

Or, his children did at least.

But Rube Goldberg had other plans.

[NerdyAarakocra They/Them]

He had secretly built an even more complex machine with the end goal of stealing Eof's hotdogs.

[Thaidakar the Ghostblood he/him]

It succeeded. Mythos stole the hotdogs back and gave them to Eof's children.

[NameIess]

This was possible because the machine was not yet complete. For completion, it required a very rare ingredient: the tear of a Narrator. Fortunately, Rube Goldberg had a supplier.

It was Nameless. almost no-one know how t his was possible.

In fact, it wasn't. Subversion just enjoyed playing tricks on people, and was in the habit of disguising herself.

Spook(not the book one) punched Subversion.

[NameIess]

Subversion winced in pain, a tear of agony falling from her eye.

"Thanks!" 

She vanished, taking the tear with her.

[Thaidakar the Ghostblood he/him]

Spook smiled, turning to Shadow. Shadow groaned, handing Spook a few bits of Mordite.

[NameIess]

A voice emanated from all around Spook, gleeful

Mordite, oh how wonderful. How things will twist and turn with Death in play.
