And with the pineapples, MONKEYS!

1 minute ago, Nameless said:

"Right, but you're a god too, by that definition, so you have no grounds to accuse Calano of anything."

"I suppose so."

Another star appeared in the sky, glowing with a strange blue light.

"I don't understand why you're doing this, Calano," Bookwyrm said. "What's wrong with light? Yes, it can be oppressive, but when you know how to use it, the world becomes so much better."

Several more stars appeared among Nameless's.

"The reason we like darkness is because it lets us see the light clearly."

A star appeared.

A ferocious red one.

"Darkness lets you see the light clearly yes. It lets you see the light of your own demise."

The ferocious red light grew in size until a massive ball of flames was right above their heads.

"This was my plan. The demise of everything."

Rym drew his Mordite sword.

"Why? What changed...." Bookwyrm said softly. "Something about that disk...."

He summoned his Narrationblade. "I have to sadly disagree with your wish for the demise of everything," he said, louder this time.

Bookwyrm's Narrationblade was suddenly wreathed in blue, black, and white flames that shot into the sky and pierced the oppressive red sun above their heads.

Those flames are something called Nightfire that I invented as a power for myself.

Calano chuckled, waving his hand. The disk floated into the air, and began siphoning the Narration power from everyone present, adding the power to the massive red star, glaring down from on high.

"Futile."

Hoid observed all of this from the pit. "Interesting, wouldn't you say?" He said to Tim the Janitor, who was falling next to him. "Quite a spectacle," agreed Tim.

Rym collapsed, groaning. Narration powers were what kept him going.

But Bookwyrm stayed standing. "Unfortunately, you can't exactly take all the power from a Narrator. We're kind of stubborn that way."
