He'd seen what he'd done to Nameless - sure, it wasn't his fault. But he had no idea what he was doing. He could have made another Witherlord, for all he knew. Or at least another Withered Narrator. Narrating was harder than it seemed. Narrating a Narrator... nearly impossible. But Ash did what he could. Saved what he could. Burned what he couldn't. He needed to help, somehow.
