xinoehp512 he/him Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 The stairs ended in a circular room. It was lit uniformly, though no light source could be seen.
NameIess Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 Moni wondered if she could make a break for it. Maybe the stairs only looked like they closed. Illusions where a thing, right?
xinoehp512 he/him Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 The very much not illusory walls continued to close, pushing everything on them out into the circular room.
xinoehp512 he/him Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 In the center of the room was a folding table. Beneath the table was a chair. "Sit," instructed the consultant.
NameIess Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 Moni sat, wondering why she had ever thought coming here was a good idea.
xinoehp512 he/him Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 "This is a survey," said the consultant. "You will be asked a series of questions. Please answer them to the best of your ability in order to proceed." In front of Moni, a sheet of paper appeared. On it were boxes requesting: -Full name -Birthdate -Yearly Income -Current Marital Status -Race/Ethnicity
NameIess Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 Moni sighed again and filled out the sheet, then handed it to the consultant. Full name: Moniker S. Lazarus Birthdate: Jan. 6 2022/Jan. 6 2000 Yearly Income: $0 and conditional immortality Current Marital Status: Unmarried Race/Ethnicity: Undecided
ThroughTheLivingSequence she/her/they/them Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 Upon being filled out, the paper screamed.
xinoehp512 he/him Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 It was filed and replaced with another one asking for: -Employer -Number of employees working at your location -Industry currently employed in -Job you would like to have if you could
NameIess Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 Moni quickly scribbled down her answers: Employer: Nameless Number of employees working at your location: 2-3 Industry currently employed in: Avatar Job you would like to have if you could: Chef
xinoehp512 he/him Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 The questions kept coming. -Favorite Food -Least Favorite Food -Interests -Hobbies -Least enjoyable task
Experience he/him Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 Moni scribbled even faster Favorite Food: Brussel Sprouts with Bacon Least Favorite Food: Brussel Sprouts without Bacon Interests: Chefing Hobbies: Chefing Least Enjoyable Task: Eating Brussel Sprouts without Bacon
NameIess Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 Moni stared confusedly at the answers on the form. When had she written those? She erased them and started over. Favorite Food: Chili Least Favorite Food: Pepperoni pizza Interests: Music, food, fencing, Ghanderflaffle history Hobbies: Cooking, playing the guitar, blacksmithing Least Enjoyable task: Dealing with narrators 1
xinoehp512 he/him Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 A new question appeared. Only one this time, with a large space to write underneath it. "Describe in detail your favorite memory."
NameIess Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 Moni glanced up at the consultant. "You I don't have a backstory. How am I supposed to answer this? I have very few memories that aren't awful."
xinoehp512 he/him Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 "Choose one," the consultant advised.
NameIess Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 (edited) Moni sighed for a third time, then wrote: That time when a consultant convinced me to walk into a mysterious castle and forced me to fill out a bunch of forms that contained information about my character, for reasons unknown. xinoehp512 he/him Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 What was the most enjoyable part of this experience?
NameIess Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 The part where I didn't have to be around narrators.
xinoehp512 he/him Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 If you could go anywhere, where would you go?
NameIess Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 Moni considered for a moment before writing down her answer. I would go somewhere that has less narrators. tst might be nice. It's generally more peaceful there.
NameIess Posted February 3, 2022 Posted February 3, 2022 TLT has a very confusing history. There's sometimes plot, mostimes just randomness. Nameless gave me most of his history knowledge, but he doesn't know everything that happened here. I have some scattered memories of random plot mostly. I remember something about a duel between an epic and a shard that resulted in Calamity doing something evil, I remember the candy wars, some stuff about someone named Sophie, (I think that was her name. And someone called Withy?), and of course the Ghanderflaffle massacre.
ThroughTheLivingSequence she/her/they/them Posted February 3, 2022 Posted February 3, 2022 (edited) Many of the newer Sharders wished they had been here long enough to witness all of this history. Sequence was at least lucky enough to have witnessed the battle of Nameless and Szeth's Facepalm, the founding of Uncle Brandy and Butt Venture's Peanut-butter-pretzel-that-tastes-like-strawberries factory, the Peach Rain, Unintelligble's quest to save Nameless, and of course, the Pineapple on Pizza war. They were truly blessed to be a part of this thread. Edited February 3, 2022 by Sequence
