X's avatar groaned and summoned the winds again, this time to save Schrodinger, Melody, and himself from plummeting into said abyss.

Nameless woke up and wondered why he was falling into an abyss.

Unfortunately for him, the rocks had sealed back up again before X's avatar could realized anything was wrong.

[NameIess]

Nameless fell into the abyss. Fortunately, he had left his map back at camp.

X's avatar tried to open the abyss back up, but found only rock. Somehow, the abyss had vanished.

He didn't have much time to try, however, as the skeleton dragon came back to finish killing the party.

X's avatar used the wind to carry the three remaining party members away from the dragon's clutches.

[Ashbringer he/him]

Schrodinger had evidently been frozen solid by the skeleton dragon, and had no recollection of the last 8 minutes.

X's avatar wasted a couple of minutes bringing him up to speed.

Schrodinger stared at X's avatar mouthing words through a large sheet of ice.

Luckily, he could read lips.

The dragon roared behind them, but the group managed to evade it's clutches. For now...

 

Nameless woke up. He was in a cavern cloaked in darkness, surrounded by many tunnels filled with shadow. Shivering slightly, he drew Shar, The Sword's comfortable balance and familiar glow calming him. He heard a scraping behind him, and spun quickly. There was nothing there. He relaxed, then turned back just in time to see a flash of metal. He lashed out with Shar, barely blocking the blow, then counterattacked the figure made of shadow. Nameless battled fiercely, Shar's movements impossible to follow. And yet his opponent followed them. Every blow Nameless gave, his mysterious foe blocked. Try as he might, Nameless could gain no advantage. Then he saw it. A chance. His foe was leaving his right side open. It was slight, but it was a chance. Without giving himself a chance to reconsider, Nameless struck out at his faceless enemy's side. He gasped as his sword struck home, then looked down to see a Sword stuck in his right side. He looked up to see his foe's shocked face. His face. Then there was only blackness, and falling, falling, falling. Nameless woke up. He was in a cavern cloaked in darkness, surrounded by many tunnels cloaked in shadow.

Dark laughter rang in his ears.

[NameIess]

But he could not hear it.

Instead, he stood up.

[NameIess]

And drew Shar, the comfortable  balance and familiar glow calming him.

That is, until it melted into black dust in his hands.

[NameIess]

But he did not see it. He could see nothing but the cave.

Schrodinger fell out of a tunnel, strangely thawed.

"I found a flashlight," he said, trying to turn it on.

[NameIess]

Nameless ignored him, turning around at a sound he thought he heard.

[Jaywalk he/him]

It exploded, Schrodinger having hit the self-destruct button.

X's avatar let out an exclamation of dismay at the realization that they'd been drawn into Nameless's... whatever this was.

Schrodinger awoke in a silent castle.

[Jaywalk he/him]

Dismembered mannequins laid about the floor.
