I'll go for the unlikely winner mostly because I have made a Big Deal as to how tired I was of Kaladin winning all the fight. So I vote for Marsh

Hmm. Since they seem pretty evenly matched, unless Marsh has atium, I'll vote for Kaladin, due to personal preference. I'm assuming Marsh doesn't have atium because that doesn't seem sporting.

Kaladin survived Bridge 4; he can survive this.

Marsh takes this even without atium. Steel compounding is to OP, Kaladin can't hit what he can't even see. And while I'm sure Bridge Four was hard on Kaladin, being possessed by a God whose sole purpose is to ruin everything, and then have to spend centuries living as a Steel Inquisitor, that seems a bit worse.

Marsh would win a fight no contest. Plus I like him a lot better as a character than Kaladangst. He also seems to have gone through as much as Kal, if not more, and come out better for it.

Marsh. For every reason I've stated before, he is both the most powerful character in this tournament and a utter and total amazing persona all around.

Marsh, a man who sought to overthrow the Lord Ruler, and sacrificed everything to see this goal fulfilled. A man who lost his humanity, becoming a Steel Inquisitor. His will was strong enough to rebel against a Shard for a brief moment, and he was responsible for helping to save the world. He now aids Harmony, and has become the personification of Death.

And Kaladin, a Windrunner from the Knights Radiant of Roshar. Sold into slavery and forced to endure the hell that was Bridge Four, Kaladin fought through, and was responsible for saving thousands of lives at the Battle of the Tower. He's done battle with full Shardbearers multiple times and won, as well as defeated Szeth, the Assassin in White, after he claimed the sky as his own.

Which of these two warriors will emerge triumphant, and become the champion of the Second Annual Sanderson Tournament?

So fitting that the finals end up on page 16. Heh. 

After much consideration, I have made my decision. 

Kaladin is strong, and strong of will. He has fought and nearly died countless times.

Marsh has died. And now he is Death. God's sidekick. 

Kaladin has the powers of a Windrunner, but without the requisite knowledge to fully use his powers. 

Marsh has had almost 400 years to train and learn. 

Tough decisions, but...

 

Marsh has my vote.

Here's my unsatisfying take of this fight:

 

"He's going to come back, right?" Marsh asked the sky.

It didn't answer.

"Sazed? They said earlier they would come back. Right?"

There was no reply. 

Marsh waited, still tapping Steel. Nothing.

"Lord Ruler." Marsh swore.

Then finally, he turned back around.

"Sorry, kid, Harmony isn't here." Marsh said, to the Windrunner frozen in air. 

He swung his axe.

Agreed. I don't have an issue with bribing with upvotes, but when people start downvoting we have a problem.

Marsh. I like him better, he has mythology built around him, and fighting-wise, I would say that he is the most powerful contestant here.

Marsh. Marsh is one of my favorite characters in the Cosmere, and he would also win in a fight.
