I want to get off this wild ride. As in right now. I need to become a coinshot so I can jump off the train and save myself with the tracks. Can I get any help with that Joe?

Oh please. Off-topic discussions like these are how we get reads, and delightful comments like "they're just trying to hide that they're talking in a doc right now." Why are you so scared of off-topic discussions? Do you have vital game-related information to say? If so, then say it.

Alright, guys, this thread is getting a bit too chaotic, even for me :P So how about we all just make a group PM for this stuff? How's that sound? I'll just make one and add people if they say 'I want to get off this wild ride'. A little password, is all :P

A PM for off-topics? But that would be for people who want to stay on the ride, wouldn't it. Anyway, I want to get off this wild ride.

Shoot.  My long soliloquy about how I want to get off this wild ride got deleted in a lag spike.  Oh Well.  The main idea was that, yes, I want to get off, and also that the main thread is for group discussion, and as much as I like this, this is not the kind of group discussion I mean.

Alright, I have to clarify something as Joe did point out that some people might get confused, but the OOG PM for getting off of the wild ride cannot have any game discussion in it whatsoever, as you can't add new people to game PMs. So if you were looking to join in for some group game talk, then make your own group PM, and that if I see game discussion in the wild ride PM, I'll kick you out and tell Joe and the mods about, so you'll get a big punishment.

Straw

Thanks Aman, who is the most suspicious thus far? I'm asking because I will not be reading through 16 pages of chat.:P

Edit : I have been NINJA'D!

It's Straw.  Elenion was being a bit boisterous earlier, and he had a little bandwagon, but the most legit votes are on Straw.

Not sure if you're addressing that to Aman or everone, but here's my views.

Votes: Straw and I with a little more on Straw.

Slips: A big thing went down where Maill called the elims Jeskeri, and Magestar went with it. We're not sure whether Maill slipped big-time or just baited.

Thanks, it was a question for everyone. Might as well vote for Mail. I might be on later tonight, but it has been a long day for me and I may go to sleep before then.

To remind any Nobles, please PM Joe that you want to vote for me. I would feel a lot better knowing if there are actually Vanillas in this game or not.

To determine who is the most suspicious I would have to go through the last 17 pages and analyze everything. It'd probably be easier for me to tell you who I think is likely not evil. Stink is most likely a Neutral role, and I'm leaning towards Elenion being a villager. I could see him being evil (which if it's true, I wouldn't be surprised if Magestar is too) but nothing that he's done immediately stands out to me as "I'm evil". I personally am not very suspicious of Straw, but he hasn't done anything that makes me want to make an effort to save him. All of the players that have done something I think is weird are either brand new or just returning after a long hiatus so I'm not sure if the vibes I'm getting from them are just a product of me not knowing how they play. Now that I think about it, I'm considerably suspicious of Ecth, but I'd need to look through all of his posts and do a thorough analysis to determine why, which I really don't have the time for right now (I honestly shouldn't even be on the site right now). I'm also somewhat suspicious of Burnt and Wilson , but I'm willing to chalk that up to the fact that they're talking to me in PMs a LOT more than I'm used to with them, plus some other small things that I can't really say because it would involve hinting at information that I'd prefer to keep the eliminators in the dark about in this case they're both actually villagers.

I would ask that if you don't want to make an informed vote, just place it on someone who has no votes already so that the Merchants have more votes to choose from to show us. I am trying to get everyone an as-accurate-as-possible count of how many vote manipulators there are. Mailliw's already got a vote on him and he's kind of pointless to lynch this turn unless we want to do his ceremonial send off now, which given the extension, might be best. That's also something we should discuss.

@Mailliw73, with the extension, are you going to be around for the end of D2 / to see the N2 write up?

DIdn't even realize that's what I was doing.

I believe you are misinterpreting what I said.  This is not, in all of the SE games I have read, the first time someone has used a cosmere villain name (occasionally the wrong one) to describe the Elims.  So, when you said Jeskeri, a Sel villain (MR15) in a SE game set on Sel, I took no notice of it, accept to understand that you roasted Stink/Kipper.  Which I proceeded to hashtag.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone use the wrong term for the eliminator team and I've played every game but one. Occasionally, they'll slip and flip the village and eliminator team, such as when the skaa are eliminators and Inquisitors are village, but that's it.

What if @Mailliw73 knows about a Jeskeri elim faction and hasn't told all of us?

What if that was my way of telling you all?

1 hour ago, Magestar said:

Guys, you are all taking this Jeskeri thing too seriously.  It was just Mailliw fishing, apparently.  And at that, it was vague and ineffective enough that I just viewed it as a normal thing.  So the Jeskeri thing is being blown out of proportion.  It is (almost 100% likely) nothing.

You got very defensive about this.

My point with that comment was to let you know about the Jeskeri faction as well as try to bait any other Jeskeri to react. Magestar did wonderfully.

It did happen once that I recall. Somebody used a term wrong (I'm describing badly; but quite similar to this instance) and got lynched for it. They turned out to be good in the end. Maybe it was @The Young Bard?

Ok.  I don't think I was really that defensive.  You said something, I went with it, you claimed it as a reason I was an Elim, and I was shocked and confused.  I was like 'Dude, that's silly.  No reason to think that'.  Then you pushed it, and got sarcastic.  I told you (calm down)/(I think you misunderstand).  Then people started joking about it, and I was like 'Yeah, I think it was a big deal out of nothing' and joked along with them.

Also, two questions.  How do you know about these 'Jeskeri'?  That doesn't make sense.  And why would my slightly pointed rebuttal make you think I am one?  I think you have made a very persuasive argument in favor of that, but it all just falls apart if you don't think I'm being overly defensive.  Also, I've been called that a few times in this thread, but both times I've given valid reasons for being so, even if I think I'm not.  So, you may consider that my 'pointed rebuttal' simply translates to your 'Really Defensive Post'.

Ok.  I think THIS post might seem a little defensive, looking back at it.  But the other ones still look fine, and this one gets my point across, so I think I'll leave it as it is.

And if I do come across as defensive, it may be because I would like to survive my first game.  I'm not an Elim.

To be honest, I'm wondering if this is an Elim strat to make people suspect and lynch the new guy, who no one knows yet.

You talking about the Ripple Effect? When Ripple said something that eventually got her lynched? In that MR?

If you're referencing the Ripple effect that's what I was talking about. She switched Inquisitor and Skaa as village and eliminator terms. She didn't accidentally call the eliminators Koloss or something.

You kept saying that you were sure it was a joke. You replied to every single comment about them.

Why I thought you were suspicious isn't because you got defensive. Not originally. It was because you completely ignored that I called the eliminators Jeskeri in a game where no one knows the eliminators. Then the defensiveness added.

I was told of the Jeskeri. But, being sporting, I won't out the player who claimed it.

I'll be lynched next Day anyways. There's no point for me to do that.

You telling me that the SE silverpike isn't going to bite off a few more fingers before he leaves? /sad  I was looking forward to all the facepalming that was going to happen.

In any case, knowing that the Jeskeri exist (and I'm not 100% convinced that they do) doesn't tell us anything at all. For all we know, the Jeskeri are the elim faction we know about. Or maybe they're a neutral faction. There's simply no way to tell.

Fun fact, even though this RP is worse than the first one, it's roughly twice the length :P Also, there is some game related stuff in here, through the eyes of Jumae, so infer what you can. Have fun reading and stuff!

------------------------

Jumae needed a merry band of comrades if he was going to claim some territory in this new city of his, and luckily for him, this inn certainly seemed to attract some well, dodgy customers as some politely-minded people would say. On the left side of the room, sitting at a table entertaining some thugs that had more muscle than brain, was his first candidate for the group, now called ‘ The Gentlemen’.

On the table just in front of Jumae, there was another possible candidate, a man who looked quite out of place in the Inn, what with his clothes that clearly cost more than the Innkeeper would ever earn in his life (though the clothes were still dirtied) but still comfortable talking to some of the obvious thieves that were hoping to get even a fraction of the man's wealth.

The third and last candidate, seemed to be one of Jumae’s favourite type of companions. Someone who clearly understood the saying ‘actions speak louder than words’, based on the way she had no-one sitting on her table, and the young man huddled over on the nearby table. Jumae was certain that if she was to join his band, then he would certainly be able to intimidate some people better than if he had to pull out the same old spells, such as the one that turned people into a clown, or the one that turned them into a bowl of porridge. Although, one smart merchant realised that being a bowl of porridge wouldn’t be that bad. No-one was desperate enough to eat porridge.

Jumae was completely at a loss as to how to handle this decision, as he was sure that he couldn’t approach all three of them but instead only one, and even then he might fail to convince them. After all, the first candidate seemed to be having plenty of fun to himself, constantly flailing his arms around as he regaled his tale, no doubt a lie based on the smallest bit of truth, like a kids movie about raising a dolphin or something.

Anyway, that was all a short term plan. Jumae knew that he had to do something about the multitude of people that had seemingly moved in on the town at the same time, based on the way his trusty scroll pinged every 5 minutes about a new notification on the happenings of the town. Unfortunately, he had managed to annoy the scroll, so he never really learned much from it. For example, below are three of the recent notifications.

‘You’ll never believe what Mailliw said in thread!’

‘10 things you didn’t expect in this LG! You’ll be shocked at 8!’

‘One mysterious announcement you can’t miss! What will happen next?’

Of course, Jumae didn’t have the time to read the articles, what with all the ads that would accompany them, advertising a way to transform into a beanbag to get rid of emotions (what a stupid idea) or how to get people to role claim in PMs, but first you need to buy the book (which would turn out to be a massive waste of money, who actually role claims?). Jumae hoped he would get to see some of his contenders soon, after all, everyone needed some competition to keep their head in the game.

Oh, it was such a shame that STINK sucked at writing RP, Jumae thought to himself, otherwise he’d have a much larger story that would rile the emotions of readers and make himself a legend to be known. Alas, STINK’s tales would only go downhill as time went on, and the novelty of Jumae started to wear off on the horde of players interested in killing and killing and killing.

Ok...

Anyways.

What I'm wondering is if there are more than one group of Elims.  That would be interesting.
