@Joe:rolleyes:

@Mailliw73, I can't believe I actually fooled you of all people. I nearly laughed my head off the first time you called me a Cett.  Please don't try to lynch me now. It wouldn't do to kill a Venture when the Cetts are so strong, would it.

Well done. I was quite perplexed by yours and Kipper's interactions, trying to place you two.

Burnt[/color=red]. You post quicklinks and player lists, but not much else. Seems rather similar to a certain LG where you were an eliminator. Trying to slip under the radar?

I don't know. I haven't been able to post in the doc. That is just who my team says are the top suspects.

EDIT: Logically it would make more sense to Lynch someone in a faction with fewer members because if there is one spiked in each faction you would be more likely to kill a spiked.

Tram smoked on the pipe. He wasn’t a heavy smoker by any means, but when he was offered a smoke, he took it. It was a luxury, and it helped calm his nerves. He thought about buying more, but that was a luxury he couldn’t afford. The skaa on his plantation had already rebelled, leaving him penniless. He had managed to bluff away to his position of power. The scar on his face made him seem plenty threatening, which was the one good thing about it. It hadn’t been easy, but he was able to live off the generosity of his compatriots without giving away his humble status.

Still, while the war had given him new opportunities, it wasn’t going well. The factions were mostly equal, which allowed for the present stalemate. By his count, 2 factions had 5 members and 2 factions had 6 members. All in all, fairly balanced, without too many casualties. He knew there would be more soon, but there were more pressing matters. The Spiked were getting out of hand. If his hypothesis was right, then the Spiked should be in each faction, manipulating things from behind the scenes. That would mean, in addition to the Inquisitor, there were now 3 Spiked. That changed the House numbers. It would mean 2 houses had 5 members, 2 houses had 4 members, with the Spiked having 4 members as well. Those were not good odds. As long as the houses continued to fight amongst each other, the Spiked would have the upperhand. In addition, if they still had another conversion… He shuddered. Then the Spiked would be the most powerful faction of all, even without their Hemalurgy. Tram needed to do something.

His tobacco had run out. There were two candidates up for the vote. The first was Silk (Aman). She had claimed to be a Seeker who had found a Spiked. Of course, when the “Spiked” was found lacking pointy bits of metal, suspicion naturally turned on her. It was clear she was focusing on the House War, while ignoring the real threat. He considered her actions… ‘bold’, if he were being charitable, suicidal if he was being more honest, and, unfortunately, harmful to the Nobles. But would it be worth the risk to do something like that, if she was secretly Spiked? Tram wasn’t certain, but he doubted it. They would already have had the advantage of both House Venture, as well as the other Spiked members. The Spiked, should they have chosen to do so, could have moved the lynch without that claim. He didn’t like the girl, but he didn’t see her actions as Spiked. She wasn’t part of his House, so he would be fine with letting her die normally. Unfortunately, the Spiked were more concerning.

That led him to the other lynch candidate: Vela. She(You didn’t give a gender here, so I’ll assume female based on your avatar) was not saying very much. She was keeping diligent notes, which was a great help. She had put votes down, but was, all in all, very quiet. That fit his profile better. Although some Spiked would try to be vocal to throw off suspicion, he believed that at least one of them would try to maintain a low profile. Being helpful without saying much was dangerous and allowed for too many hiding places. It also helped that he wasn’t in Vela’s House either, but that was a minor concern. He handed the pipe back to his benefactor. He needed his wits about him if they were going to kill the Spiked.

@Mailliw73 I'm glad you are more interested in strategy and seeing reason than revenge :P any chance you could convince your team to do the same?

If votes are removed from me.

Only people still voting for you are Bard and Cloud, Bard hasn't been on yet, and I don't know what cloud's deal is.. not really sure why he even voted for you in the first place tbh.

Fine. I'll do what I can. I don't even care that I'm putting this openly. @Mckeedee123 Vote for Burnt?

As it's likely I'm going to die I might as well get my faction one last boxing on the way out. Burnt.

Aman.  Nothing personal but Penrod would prefer you to be dead than living.

I voted for him because he was not in my faction and was active.

Oh come on guys. Voting for the person whos alseep so she has little time to defend herself. Not cool.

Hm. Ive seen comments that i may be spikey from my lurkiness. May i point out that a while back i said in thread that for the next while o was going to be less active as i was dedicating my time to getting way of kings and words of radiance read and that earlier this cycle i mentioned that id finished them now so from now on i should be more active?

And if your going to lynch a cett, please, do us a favor and lynch the one who still hasnt said anything in the doc.

Edit: Ah, just reread that post. Got it. Dang. Well done, you two. Especially Bard. You got me.

Drat... I was hoping to keep you fooled for another couple cycles or so... Maybe stab you in the back when the numbers were tight.

*sigh* Burnt. Lekal? You seemed interested in killing a Cett - now you've got one. Penrod, you're down on numbers, do you really want to let the team that isn't get even stronger?

Night 3: A Final Stand

During the days, the factions’ siege on the city lessened, and they seemed to turn towards each other to release their anger.  During the long hours of those days, it seemed like our plan had worked and we would survive the siege.  But during the nights, the attacks would strengthen, and our hopes would fall.

“...Silk is a threat greater than the might of any individual faction,” the town crier read from a small pamphlet he had been given.  “She has made bold claims with little evidence, meant to sow the seeds of distrust amongst our people and turn us against each other.  She cannot be left alive to generate such suspicion and doubt among us!”

“Not so fast,” said someone in the crowd of people standing in Luthadel’s town square.  Silk nudged herself forward, onto the platform that the town crier was reading from.  “The allegations brought before me are greatly exaggerated.  I shall express myself freely, and you will then see that I have done nothing to promote such a reaction.”

“Lies!” someone shouted from the crowd.

“Spare your interjections, for I shall attempt to set things straight.”  Silk paused, glancing at the general mood of the crowd.  They were definitely not happy, in a bit of a murderous mood this evening.  “I have been called out for declaring myself a Seeker, despite giving misinformation.  I am nevertheless a Seeker, and gave you this information for your own benefit.”

“You claimed that Locke was… an agent of the Deepness, when this was clearly not the case!” a tall man shouted.

“Exactly; this was meant to inform you… to reveal to you that… the Deepness is once again a real threat, and one that we must unite against to extinguish.  This is something much bigger than who gets to sit in Luthadel’s throne.  This is a matter of global priority.”

“Bah!” the tall man shouted.  “And you claim to know about this… Deepness yourself?  How can we be sure that you aren’t an agent of it!”

“These agents have pieces of metal imbedded in them!  It honestly isn’t that hard to figure out!” Silk said.

“And if it’s so easy to figure out, then why make such a big deal of it?  Why not just eliminate the threat now?”

This mob is too intense, Silk thought to herself, attempting relentlessly to Riot their calmness.  They won’t rest until someone’s dead this evening.  My only hope of survival is to deflect their attention to someone else…

“You’re right, of course!” Silk shouted, chuckling.  “In fact, I believe I saw Vela with a very peculiar earring earlier.”

“Excuse me?” Vela protested from the crowd.  “Nuh-uh, you are not bringing me into this!  You’re just trying to deflect attention!  She’s clearly hiding something from us!”

“Hiding something?” Silk questioned, raising an eyebrow.  “I’ve been completely frank with you.  You have called me out and threatened me; I have nothing to hide.”

“She is hiding something!” Vela said, then suddenly felt an enormous calmness wash over her.  “She… wait, she’s an emotional allomancer!  She lied to us!”

“This is not true!” Silk yelled frantically, as the crowd angrily climbed up onto the platform and surrounded her.  “I deny these allegations against my name!  Ruin will take you all if you take me down!”

Silk (Amanuensis) was lynched!  She was an unspiked Rioter from the Venture faction!

@Straw I would kinda like to know what on earth possessed you to claim Cett right when everyone was saying they wanted to kill a Cett. You very nearly got your own teammate killed. I am kinda annoyed.
