Good game, everyone! That was lots of fun to play. Maill, nice job calling me out early. Still not sure how you caught me, but whatever you did worked :P

Oh, and Maill, for awhile there I actually thought you had a secret role. That's why I pushed for you to be lynched; I thought it could maybe soft clear me if you were.

Oh, and I'm now on book 2 of the series thanks to this game :)

Sure you're good at figuring out when I'm an eliminator, Lopen? :P Next time try not to tunnel so hard on me please. I don't want to make you feel bad, but it was part of the reason I felt so discouraged from posting.

I'm not sure what it was this game but all of my instincts were on point, even if I never really did follow through them. I immediately trusted Joe, which was only fortified by him tieing his own lynch, my first vote was on Winter, followed by Gamma, who both ended up being the first two discovered, I was right about my read on Araris (I never explained it but the reason I thought he was loyal was because his first target was HS and as he explained it he put in that order due to being irritable and annoyed by HS' unjustified vote on him. I find that when a player shows emotional vulnerability they are a lot easier to read, and personally if he was a Traitor kill role then there would be more thought and less feeling involved in deciding who to kill), and finally my first and only role block which was decided last minute on Bugsy because something about him just seemed distinctly off to me. For the record I was also aware of cloudiness's Traitorhood due to the fact that as soon as the MR began he became noticeably less active in LG21 17th Shard Doc. I decided not to act on that information, though I did almost slip up mentioning it in PMs in both games. Thankfully I pondered the repercussions before I sent those messages. Lopen was the only outlier, but that's mostly because I didn't like the way he was (at first) trying to imply I was a neutral role and then later a Traitor when I had literally done nothing wrong... but no hard feelings.

Tangent aside, thank you Hael and Elb for running this game. As a wood player I agree that it was extremely OP. Like I said in the game not having the fear of dying made me really lazy, as it was known to everyone from the start that I couldn't be killed. It didn't have that effect on Lopen and SD it seems but it was a personal qualm of mine. I would maybe consider having Wood 1 and 2 switched in a rerun maybe, as I think that would balance the strength of it on its own.

Self protects are always a bad idea, I think. Although it was particularly unbalanced in that it couldn't really be blocked either. I really should have stopped W1 self protecting cycle 2, but I guess I felt I'd changed enough things already.

Great game everyone! I hope you had as much fun as I did! See you next time!

I would have liked a unanimous vote though...

And Bugsy, why'd you self-kill?

Also, did anyone notice Gamma's white text in his RP? Or mine?

I have a feeling that this is really obvious...

Hellscythe redirected Bugsy's actions onto himself

Haha I just realized I put those actions in within the last 20-30 minutes. I probably delayed the write-up by randomly ending the game haha my bad.

Yeah 4 wood players, 3 with role blocks, 1 with a kill, 1 with a redirect and all with self protects that block any number of kills was a little op. I figured it HAD to be either Aman or Lopen. We also had almost all the Tier 3's which helped a lot. (Well Araris wasn't able to do much due to Wood, and Seonid and DC were inactive, and Strawman died day one) BUT WOOD 3 THOUGH.

I'd say to fix the wood 1 you should probably make it so their actions also fail. If it's still too good, you shouldn't be able to use it on the same person two consecutive cycles. Also yeah it should be a Tier 2 fury.

The only reason I figured out bugsy was because I figured that Water 3 was probably among the Traitors primarily because if they had NO PM spying abilities they'd really be screwed and Air wasn't an option anymore other than I think Joe. I had a PM with both Mailliw and Conquestor so I trusted them more. Aman was dying and Bugsy was the last Water player other than Aman.

I'm not entirely sure either. :P Just a gut feeling that was amplified when I found out you couldn't be spied on(Which was based on a misunderstanding, I guess. :P) and then your reaction just kept me going.

Ah, sorry about that. It seems I've slipped into the habit of tunneling occasionally now(DC in LG21, Joe a bit in this game, you/Araris a bit as well). I'll work on it. :)

Although to be fair, I did have major doubts about you being evil once the lynch was set on you. I even told Maill as much in a PM. I just was confused because SD and Maill thought that their Actions were blocked by a phantom Wood T1 player and you were the only one left I didn't have extremely good reason to trust.

Actually, another thing: The inactivity filter - what were people's thoughts? It did hit one person, but what did people think - did you worry about it, or did you mostly ignore it. If people who didn't play are reading this, did it stop you from joining the game at all?

I thought this was a great idea. As one of the quieter players, it really helped me become more involved.

^I agree.

I didn't necessarily like it, as i do like to lurk. But it meant i was more likely to post actually useful stuff rather than 'i don't know who I'm suspicious off. prob won't post in thread much  for the next cycle or two. Will be in pms though'

So yeah I think it was definitely more successful at encouraging more involvement from the lurkers like me

No one actually had them though? Right? Anyone? :P

I will say that (Codex Alera spoilers)

no one got Alera

this time.

So I'm finally getting around to closing these games. I wish I had more time to comment about each individual game, but life has been quite busy recently.

I do want to say congrats to the Loyalists for a well fought win! And a special and heartfelt thank you to Hael for GMing it.

I'd never heard of Codex Alera before this game, but the magic system sounds like fun, so I'll have to check it out!

Now, as always, if anyone would like to try your hand at running a game, please get a hold of GammaWilson,  Alvron, or myself. Not only will we get you added to the list, but I'm sure we'd be more than willing to help out in any way we can as well!

You can also ask questions and get some hints and feedback from everyone over here in our Art of Game Creation thread as well. With all the games that we've run so far, we have plenty of experienced GMs that can help you refine any game you're thinking about!

Thanks again to everyone that played and we look forward to seeing you in future games!
