So... can I ask y'all computery types something?

If I were to want to learn how to code, how would I go about doing it?

I agree with the others that Python is a nice place to start. there are also some tools designed to teach you the basics in a form of a game. Those "games" might be worth giving a shot if studying from a plain tutorial is too boring or complicated.

Ever wondered what Bruce does in the car on the way to Petsmart?

He…pretty much does that for the whole ride. (I took that at a red light, so no worries about either of us dying. :P

He's so squeaky!

Updates: I have a falconry sponsor and am working on getting my apprentice license. I will be hunting with a passage red tailed hawk.

That's awesome, Kest! Follow your bird-inspired dreams.

And when we get out of the car, he'll run to the doors, dragging me along.

Where did you find a dog that squeaks? Are you sure he's not made of rubber?

No, he seems to be made of fur. :P

I'm still suspicious that he's a rubber duck in very good disguise. Perhaps a kandra that didn't have time to collect all the requisite organs before stealing your heart?

Tfw your apprentice license application is in the hands of the state now

I need to take my test but I am waiting for paperwork processing.

And once I take my test there's more paperwork processing.

And then game warden inspections and more paperwork processing

And then getting a hunting license and more paperwork processing.

That's so cool that you're doing this though! Good luck! ^_^

Excited dogs can be very entertaining, if sometimes difficult to manage.

Robbie has a similarly excited reaction to going to the vet (or going anywhere in the car, the car is just great in general apparantly), though he doesn't squeak so much. :P I was very impressed yesterday when I walked him to the vet to pick up more of his food. He saw that my mother was already inside but still managed to sit and wait politely while I opened the door.

Completely different thought (a more random one :o) : would someone with severe chronic pain on Roshar constantly have 1 or more painspren around them? More broadly does it matter more for summoning spren if the emotion is strong compared to the average in the general region or compared to what is normal for the person. On a similar note, I wonder if how well you are coping with pain would effect whether painspren appeared or just the intensity of the pain.

Sounds like someone  knows what to ask Brandon during his next AMA. :P

When this popped up on my newsfeed this morning….

Spoiler

…..I may or may not have read "toast" as a noun and not a verb. Meaning I thought that people researching toast were not only a thing, but were responsible for saving Florida's oranges.
