Or maybe Sylphrena means East Wind in spren language/dawnchant  :)

Wikipedia tried to convince me that the east wind is unlucky in ancient Greece :(

Forgive me for over-nerding, but the East Wind is classically a force of destruction and something not to be desired.

I feel like that fits in with Roshar as well. Seeing as : 

Everstorms originate from the East and the Stormfather sends storms from the West

Though the East Wind could easily mean that Syl is a spren that doesn't just go with the flow.

Highstorms originate from the Origin, which is in the East. They travel east to west, whereas the Everstorm comes from the west. Looking at the map of Roshar in the books gives the Leeward and Stormward directions that verify this.
