One or two that stand out to me, but I honestly don't remember all of the details of the book. It's been a couple of months since I've read it. Very strong envy, though. Odium mainly refers to the teasing: seriously, keep you beta status a secret, or make with the spoilers! Probably My one-word summary on the final page? BRILLIANT. So, don't rest until the fat lady sings. The final page has it all. Dalinar is revived... their lines, while still distinctly their own, overlap a lot more. Some others do the same kind of thing, but I won't say which. .. as a Parshendi! And now he spends time with Eshonai... Also: Re: Shallan, I can only beg you (for your own enjoyment) to try very hard to keep your mind open to all the things that are going on in her flashbacks, including the things that are not directly stated. She doesn't mean the final page of the book itself is brilliant. (Though I'm not saying it's not; RAFO.) I think it's best for beta readers not to say anything, for now. Or if you do want to say something, clear it with me first. It's not going to be like the Wheel of Time where there are draconian restrictions, but we should be careful to consider the amount of time left before the release and how jealous people will get. Kaladin is ......."AWESOME" and kicks Amaram and Sadeas's butt and fights Szeth. Shallan is...... "AWESOME" and has sad and exciting flashback scenes about her homicidal, power hungry father and...... seduces Renarin (here's to u Feather Writer). Jasnah is...... "AWESOME" and literally reduces guys to smoke and seduces Kaladin (Yay! My theory stands true.) Renarin is ......"AWESOME" and becomes a kick butt Surgebinder........ and kicks Voidbringer butt. Szeth multitasks and kills people while crying and listening to non existent screams...... and gets his butt kicked by Kaladin. Eshonai is....... "AWESOME" and kicks stuffy Alethi butt........ and begins courting the DARK SIDE OF THE FORCE. (But no there's no "Kaladin, I am your mother" scene yet. That comes in book 9.) Oh and by the way, Lift is AWESOMEST of all. Most of the high princes and many civilians will die when the Parshmen rise up. This will be the Disaster Navani speaks of in her journal. Dalinar and Navani will spend book 3 trying to restore the country as well as the KR. And Wit will kill Sadeas with Nightblood when Sadeas pulls Oathbringer on him in the epilogue. The second I saw this thread I knew it would only make it worse, so of course I do the only "rational" thing I could do, I read it. Now it's 10 times worse (sigh) no one to blame but myself. I really hope that "NO, I WILL NOT ACCEPT THIS" comment doesn't refer to Jasnah dieing as some have speculated, I really like her character and want to see her developed more. 38 days to go.
