Bort put the third vote on Shallan lynch train, so he could be a traitor. He also put a vote on Creccio and Kipper. All of his votes were placed on lynch trains, two of which were successful.

 

So, Bort it is.

 

Yes, I placed the third vote on Shallan, and have regretted it ever since we discovered her role. I placed the first vote on Creccio because of the suspicious nature of her (his?) posts and PMs. Her/his posts during the rest of that cycle didn't exactly convince me of their innocence, and apparently it didn't convince anyone else either, otherwise he/she wouldn't have been lynched.

 

As for Kipper, what lynch train? I've not seen a lynch train on Kipper, only a couple of votes placed with fairly good reasoning behind them.

I thought you could scan alignments, Hellscythe. Or is it just roles? If it is the former, this is a pretty bold statement since it is obvious (to me at least) that you haven't scanned me.

The HI can only scan for roles. Although, If he could scan for alignment that would be awesome.

I would like a more solid explanation from Alfa. I don't necessarily believe he is evil; in fact, I am more inclined to believe the players voting for him are traitors trying to get him lynched since they can't kill him themselves, so that they can turn the HI over to their side and gain all his information. But unless the third "Hemalurgist" is lying, I can ensure that doesn't happen by asking the Elantrian to protect them. I still would feel much more comfortable if the HI would scan those two to make sure it's true before we go trying to kill one of them.

 

We are currently tied and I'm almost inclined to leave it that way. If Alfa is a hemalurgist, it is important that we check his alignment. I’m submitting him for the kandra scan tonight, but I've been suspicious of Bort since day 1. It was too much of a coincidence for him to save Bridge boy one day and then Wilson the next.

Night 5: Shades in Flight

 

Captain's Journal, 02/02/513 AK, Night Shift

What does the ship see, when we are all asleep?

 

I think it's rather sentimental of me to think of it like this. That the ship can be personified as a living being. To a certain extent, thanks to the implanting of HELLSCYTHE's consciousness, I suppose it is, even if he doesn't have control of much of it. But everything has a footprint in a Realm other than the physical one, and so I cannot help but wonder if it thinks about us. If it has thoughts, hopes, dreams. Perhaps it can even fear.

 

There is an unmistakable sense of death in the air, one that the recyc system can't get out of it. Maybe it is because I am attuned to hemalurgy, to blood, that I feel it. The shadow of Ironeyes over my shoulder, over everyone's shoulder, waiting for us to slip up, to make one small mistake in the face of adversity...

 

I see him, sometimes. Feel his ghostly, cold breath on my neck. His clammy, bony hand on my shoulder. And those eyes, piercing and judging. Eyes that have stared down a God, and defeated it. In the mirror, I see his spectre, hovering over me, his eyes shining in the light, his arms covered in metal. And through the tip of his chest, a metal point. The lynchpin spike that they all had. That only he has, now.

 

He has not come for me today, but he is close, and closing in every day. His gaze fell upon Bort today, and found him wanting. No, my crew did, rather. Strung up like an offering in one of the walkways, tied to the pipework. As if he could ward away the evil spell that has fallen on us all. But Ironeyes isn't one to be scared off by something so tame as that. I can only imagine the horrors of the Inquisition of old that he saw.

 

Some whisper that it wasn't the crew that did that to him, but Bort himself. A sacrifice in its purest sense, a selfless last gesture for his comrades. Maybe it was. An offering to whom, I don't know. Perhaps he hopes – hoped - to conjure a Shade within the ship, to take revenge for us. I don't even know if that's possible. We have nothing from Threnody that could act as an anchor for that power, unless Bort himself brought something with him. Some darkness from another world that we know little about. It's not impossible.

 

As a precaution, I have had his probable place of death encircled with silver. Would that it were that easy to keep all this evil at bay.

So Alfa is a hemalurgist. This we all agree on? Hellscythe have you scanned to check? He claimed to be a forged kandra when any forged kandra would have already lost the powers. This doesn't exactly seem like a viable traitor tactic. He doesn't really gain anything as an eliminator except for the names of people who are suspicious and not trusted. Either way I agree that we shouldn't be killing a potential hemalurgist regardless until they get scanned.

 

Also sorry for not posting or voting last cycle. I actually thought that we were only half through the cycle until Wyrm posted saying it was over

He hasn't been around for like two weeks I think. He could be a good mistborn target if someone wants to take out an inactive.

Well, I am a bit worried about what happened last cycle. I was pretty excited when people were voting on Alfa, because that means that there is no mentality of safe roles in this game. That was good. But then nobody was bringing up anything new. There were just more and more votes on Alfa. And then everything (or enough, at least) switched over to Bort, because nobody actually wanted to kill a hemaurgist. It feels a bit like cycle 1 to me. One thing I am curious about is the vote tally. Elkanah had a tally that showed a 3-3 tie between Bort and Alfa. Now, I'm pretty sure this indicates that the eliminators don't have a feruchemist, or there would have been a tie or Alfa would have died. (why miss a free lynch of a hemalurgist). This is of course assuming that Alfa is clean. If he isn't then it points towards an eliminator feruchemist. But why does the vote tally today show 4-0, rather than 4-2? Did Elkanah just goof up somewhere in their tally?

 

I think that our Mistborn should continue to go after inactive players, and it seems like Cow is the most conspicuous of those. And then the Kandra should probably scan Alfa, to tell us a bit about how many loyal hemalurgists are left and the mindset of that feruchemist.

 

I promised a long post with suspicions in it, and that should come in around when the next cycle starts so that the eliminator kills can't be a reaction to something that I have said.
