DreamEternal Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 Maybe Mare? No, but I am curious of how you came to this conclusion.
Stormgate he/him Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 Thought a traitor, hated by my lord on high... It was a long shot.
DreamEternal Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 (edited) Yes, it is Demoux. Your turn, Stormgate. I was kinda hoping it would take more than a week to solve, like my Lirin boast back at the now deseased Bewulf Boast thread. Anyway, explanations in bold. Under darkest skies, I once hunted for a sign, Seeking the pale starlight. This is about the opression of the Final Empire, and Kelsier's promise of a new world, with green leaves and a starlit sky. Once, I was a loyal knight, Humble pilgrim, in the dark. Demoux became a respected member of the Church of the Survivor and climbed the hierarchy of the new government's army at prodigious speed. Once, I was struck down, Cast aside, thought a traitor Hated by my lord on high. He was one of those soldiers who were wounded the most by the mist sickness and took longer to recover. Some took that as a sign that Kelsier, worshiped as Lord of the Mists, was displeased with them, and he struggled with his faith. Yet, on the final dawn, Swimming in searing light, I was choosen, remembered As a warrior of light. The reason for his sickness was that he was "choosen" as a seer, and on the final battle against the forces of Ruin he and his companions managed to keep the Atium out of his reach. And now, I've felt love And basked in the moonlight, These two are tricky. Few remember his terriswoman girlfriend, and even fewer read the WoB confirming she is a worldhopper. Also, Scadrial has no moon, but Roshar, where Demoux was last seem, has three of them. And throught silent seas, I silently hunt for the sign Not much to explain here. It is just his hunt for Hoid in the purelake. And I've found greater lords on high. Being a worldhopper, he probably knows gods more powerful or ancient than Kelsier. Of course, as far as we know he may still worship him, but that is besides the point. Edited December 20, 2015 by CognitivePulsePattern
Stormgate he/him Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 I search for that which is long since forgotten My name is lost to all but a few. I learned my trade in a distant land, I speak stories that bring questions unanswered. I am found where none expect me to be, When people search me, I am never found. Questions asked of me rarely find answers, Though the questions I ask I answer myself. I practice arts of varied lands, And ne'r follow another's commands.
Stormgate he/him Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 Yeah... I didn't think that was very hard...
DSC01 he/him Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 Alas, I don't have one right now and am at work and unable to spend time thinking one up. I was just excited that I knew the answer, so... I yield my turn to whoever has been saving up a good one.
Stormgate he/him Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 I decided to do one, since no one else is. I saw to the end of a mortal god And saved his successor. I trained the one who became a god And became one in their stead.
