Mistrunner Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 *consults Google* Looks like it's similar but slightly less sour. I still probably wouldn't like it. I have some really weird food aversions to things that apparently everyone else loves. Like: popcorn peanut butter meatloaf chili "good" cheeses cheesecake orange juice My brother used to eat a spoonful of peanut butter as a snack. It was weird. That is, until I picked up the habit. I've stopped by now. Besides that, you don't like cheesecake?!
Allomancy she/her Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 Besides that, you don't like cheesecake?! ... I don't either... 2
The Honor Spren she/her Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 I need help. Does anyone know what fabric to use for a mistcloak?I'm using Jersey, but I think there was a WoB saying it would have the texture of felt, and the flow-y-ness of silk.
DreamEternal Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 (edited) It is... Acceptable, I guess. EDIT: talking about cheesecake. Edited October 26, 2015 by CognitivePulsePattern

I was actually able to find some slub fabric (it didn't specify what kind) but it seems about right, so crisis averted!
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 *consults Google* Looks like it's similar but slightly less sour. I still probably wouldn't like it. I have some really weird food aversions to things that apparently everyone else loves. Like: popcorn peanut butter meatloaf chili "good" cheeses cheesecake orange juice I like popcorn and peanut butter, though I'm not a fan of meatloaf. I like the taste of chili, but if there are too many chunks of onion, tomato, or pepper, I lose my appetite after the first bowl. (Not sure why, but I don't like the texture of those things.) "Good" cheeses….eh, depends on the cheese. I love brie, goat cheese, and….um, I think that's it, but give me some aged cheddar and I'll politely decline. I don't like any cheese stronger than sharp cheddar, but the milder "good" cheeses I like. Cheesecake, for me, is one of those things I just don't "get." I grew up having my parents ooh and aah over cheesecake, talk about it like it was the best thing in the world, but when I tried it, I was distinctly underwhelmed. It's good, but it's just….cold? And it tastes like sugar and cream cheese at the same time? I don't get why everyone makes such a fuss over it. Orange juice is good, so long as it's low pulp or pulp-free, but I prefer grapefruit juice. On an unrelated note, I got some new clothes today. Time to change my style, hopefully for the better.

Kestrel she/her Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 When someone joins your rp, rps for a day, then leaves you after you've grown attached to said rp. 1
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 Twi, that's always fun! can I ask what kind of clothes you got? Two sweaters, one grey and one brown; an olive green coat with giant pockets; a blue T-shirt and a flannel guys' shirt I can wear over it as a jacket sort of thing. I'm starting an attempt to shift my style from my current hippie-type look to more of a 90s grunge look. I don't know why, but I've always liked that style. When someone joins your rp, rps for a day, then leaves you after you've grown attached to said rp. That sucks. Which RP was it?
Kestrel she/her Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 It was a dumb crossover on the warriors forums. I honestly just go there now in the hopes that someone'll stick with an rp and do something with me. But nope, it seems. Used to people on there would stick with their rps and stay for months. Not so much now.
Kaymyth she/her Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 My brother used to eat a spoonful of peanut butter as a snack. It was weird. That is, until I picked up the habit. I've stopped by now. Besides that, you don't like cheesecake?! I know; I'm weird. My taste buds are miscalibrated so that it's harder for me to pick up sweet flavors than most folks. So there are a lot of things that people say are sweet that I just don't taste as sweet at all; cheesecake is one of those things. So things have to be really, really sweet for my tongue to register it as such. Oh, and I also don't like tea. Well, that's a strong word; I'm sure I'd like it if I could taste it. Unfortunately, all tea tastes the same to me: hot, slightly bitter water. I've had master teamakers try and take this on, and so far it has been for naught. Artificial sweeteners, by the way, taste absolutely vile to me. Just pure bitter nastiness. Ironically, brussels sprouts, one of the supposedly most bitter vegetables, taste sweet to me. Like I said, taster calibration is just totally frelled. ... *fuse blowing* I know, I know. See above. I'm right there with you on the cheesecake, except that I can barely taste any sugar at all. And I hate cream cheese. So there you go. Uuugghhh, grapefruit juice. That stuff make my mouth twist into an Escheresque knot.

Kestrel she/her Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 In other news, the football game got moved to thursday because of rain How wonderful I probably won't get back until midnight, and then have to get up at 5:30.

They taste sweet to me, but there's this strong bitter, chemical aftertaste to them that I just can't stand. That sounds super interesting (and I say that with no sarcasm whatsoever). Hope you enjoy! Thanks! I know it's kind of an odd style to want to take on, but I'm trying it anyway.

DreamEternal Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 Why does everyone loves food so much? If I could live without eating with no side effects, I would probably forget food is thing. 2

TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 Mysterious things are afoot in Twi's house. When people in the living room (which happens to be next to the one I'm in) ask me to help them with something, I can hear them just fine. But when I ask them for help, for some reason they can't hear me. Mysterious indeed.
