"I'm so sure that a chasmfiend bookie would be toxic that I am confident I will not lose my big toe in this wager," Sunbird replies, flopping down on a beanbag to rest.

"Chasmfiends aren't poisonous... and what sort of effects could they do...?" He wondered out loud, finally getting into the kitchen.

"Well, think about it," says Sunbird. "A bookie is the edible embodiment of a character, correct? Think of how ill-tempered chasmfiends are. Pack all that bad attitude into a little bookie and it's bound to make you sick." She pauses thoughtfully. "Or maybe the sour temperament wouldn't be harmful to someone equally as grumpy as a chasmfiend."

Ripple suddenly burst into the conversation.

"Actually, a chasmfiend bookie wouldn't be completely toxic, as bookies are primarily cookies, and cookies are always delicious. So, said chasmfiend cookie would most likely be rather tart, but by no means terrible."

Looking proud of herself, Ripple returned to her studies of lines and dots.

Sunbird, glaring at ChickenPlague, kicks the spoon straight up so that it impales the ceiling and sticks there, quivering. She pulls out a small dagger from seemingly nowhere and waves it under ChickenPlague's nose. "In case you get any more ideas..." she says darkly before secreting the dagger upon her person once more.

"Hey we need a Referencecaller here!"Chicken shouts.

"I think we have a fairly recent WoSb that she will give her toe away if Chasmfiend bookies taste bearable."

Kit takes notice of the small commotion and adds "I'm no Referencecaller, but I would like to point out that while Sunbird offered her big toe, Chasmfiend has not accepted the bet."

Posted

"Right you are! But she didn't say that she offers the bet to Chasmfiend only." Chicken says, a wicked grin spreading on his face." I accept!"

"So... you actually want Sunbird's big toe? Losing toes isn't fun. I know. Stupid twenty-sided dice... and that new one made entirely out of ants still isn't working quite right..."

Do you know what toespikes can steal? Granted they are hard to use(pretty blunt).

Also I will try to grow you a new toe Sunbird.

"Right you are." Replied Kit. "But she also used the word "I'd" meaning I would. So I do believe that she still has a chance to retract her statement."

Walking out of the kitchen, Chasmfiend says "They don't taste half bad. In fact, I like them. Perhaps it's just me, though... here, everyone, have some..."

Pikachu, Walks regally (or, crawls rather...I'm a Pikachu) Into the great hall of Mistrunner, Herald of the Knights Awkward. Bows, and offers the oaths:

Books before friends,

17th Shard before the real world,

Release dates before birthdays,

The knights awkward will rise again

And Respectfully asks if I may take part in the uprising of the knights awkward, and join this guild.

Sunbird seizes the lifeline Kit has offered her and quickly says, "Yes! I said I would wager my big toe, not that I was actually putting it up for the taking." She eyes ChickenPlague suspiciously.

Maggie rolls her eyes. "Oh, pshaw, Kynedath. It's fine. Not everyone understands how to roleplay yet. Besides, my own entry wasn't much better." Maggie digs through the Archives of Awkward and pulls out:

*states boldly* I would join this group as a reference caller. Will ye except me?

"See? Happens to everyone." Maggie leans forward and widely grins at the little Pikachu. "Nice to have you here." She then realizes that she might be too close. A distance of two about 2 centimeters between faces had made people uncomfortable, in the past.

"I'll have you know that grammar is very important to me. It is the force that keeps communication clear and understandable by all. I do realize that to some people it can be a pain to memorize, but it is worth the effort for the ease of communication."

Mistrunner runs into the hall, hair soaked, breathing heavily. "Family... meetups... can take a lot outta ya," she says before collapsing. She mumbles an acceptance to Pikachu, extending (flopping) a hand over.
